Better than we hoped

We purchased the Generac system to replace an 8 year old other brand system that decided it no longer wanted to run. This is only a day old and we have not had a situation where we lost line power so it has only operated in a test following installation. Based on what we have seen from Generac systems in the neighborhood we anticipate it will provide good service. The installers were excellent and answered all the questions asked and gave a good overview of how it operates and what we may need to do and what we will not need to do to keep it operational. Very pleased with Wells Electric Service.

No more worrying

We had our 22k installed two days ago and we are very pleased with all aspects of the installation. Now we dont have to worry about our power going out. What a relief for us. Wells Electric did a great job and we're very professional.

Exceptional Experience

A few weeks ago I lost power for 1 1/2 days and I was SO relieved. I own a Subaru and I have to say a part of the reason I chose Generac is because I've owned two Subarus. It's comforting knowing it's a Subaru engine running the generator. It was installed by Wells Plumbing in Dayton, OH and they're so professional, it's an all-around exceptional experience!!

Generac Security

The electricity has gone off a couple of times since we've had the Generac, and it has provided us with security and we know that if the power goes out, Generac will provide us with electricity. It has proven it's . We don't worry now if there is a storm, or power outages, due to Generac.

Install where I wanted it

I had Wells Electric install a Generac whole house generator last August, and now have 9 months experience, and 2 power outages. All worked well. Wells was great to work with. I had them install the generator in a location on the other side of the house from where gas and electric power entered the house. No problem. I pointed where I wanted the generator, and they installed it there.

Wells Electric did a great job installing our generator. Was a very clean installation and they showed up when promised. Follow up service has been outstanding.

Bring on the storms!

Nearly a year in and my only regret is that we have not had a power outage to give the generator a good test. Really, the peace of mind is worth the cost of admission and Wells Electric has been top notch in every regard. Love the app as well and the reassuring texts each week after the test cycle.

Generac & Wells Electric

Wells Electric Service installed a 26kw Generac whole house standby generator in December 2025. We previously used a 8kw portable generator which hooked to a transfer switch via a 30 amp cable. Due to its capacity it could only run a few critical appliances, which did not include the HVAC system, and the portable generator began to wear out over time. Therefore, due to the frequency of recent outages and the amount of time we travel during the year we decided to install a whole house system to be worry-free. Wells Electric removed the old transfer switch and replaced it with two, 200 amp transfer switches since we have 400 amp service. Our breaker boxes were completely rewired and load shed modules were installed on a few high energy items (i.e. range, HVAC, EV charger, etc.) which enabled a smaller generator to be installed thereby saving us money. I cannot say enough about the quality of Wells Electric Service’s (Sherm's) work. He worked through cold and rain, was extremely knowledgeable, customer focused and he even tidied up my breaker boxes going beyond the call of duty. Although we have not yet experienced any power outages since installation, we were able to experience an outage simulation during the county inspection. The generator kicked on in about 20 seconds, after the inspector turned off the power, and the entire house was powered. Can't say enough about Generac whole house generators and using Wells Electric Service to install them.

Outstanding Generac

We had a Generac whole-house generator installed by Wells Electric last year, and it has been one of the best decisions we've ever made for our family's peace of mind. My dad relies on oxygen, and the thought of losing power during a storm or outage used to keep us up at night with worry. Since the generator was installed, that constant anxiety is gone. We now have complete confidence that he'll be protected no matter what happens with the power grid. From the very beginning, the team at Wells Electric was outstanding. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through everything, answering all our questions patiently. The installation was clean, efficient, and done with great care.
