Cut ties before it was too late

The writing was on the wall from my first interaction which was a "no show" appointment. Once they rescheduled and showed up late to survey my property the estimator gave me his card and told me to contact him with any questions. My 2 email attempts to contact him went ignored. After never being contact by the customer service person (laughable) that was supposed to be in charge of the project, I called them. Every subsequent call and e-mail was ignored. After being cancelled by the electric company for non response (two times) I cancelled my contract with them. Stay clear of these people at all costs.

Awful Service Dept

Our Generator is about 5 years old as our home is also 5 years old, we called Y&C since the first year solely for maintenance. We tend to have to call them every year as we had requested from then to put us in a maintenance and service contract but it went to deaf ears. Nevertheless we call them yearly for service. A month ago we had called them to pass by for maintenance when someone did. From that one maintenance our generator has stopped working. We had to called them week after week due to it not working and they haven\u2019t been able to fix it. In our ver last visit they just defeated the issue as a \u201cCon Edison\u201d as to wash their hands off of us.

dealer is non responsive

I ordered a generator in April. It is now December and I don't have it. In fact, I don't know if I will ever get it, even though they have had my deposit for several months.

Great Service

We have a service contract with Yost & Campbell to service our 20kw standby generator. Customer service on the telephone is courteous, friendly and professional. The service technicians show up in a timely manner and are always professional and knowledgeable.

After Installation Care

Charlie arrived promptly at 9 AM this morning for our annual maintenance. He has serviced us before and continuity of service is appreciated.He is a skilled highly trained and very professional technician. He answered several questions about the maintenance process and how to monitor the generator during extended run time. No follow-up, no follow-through...

I made the mistake of using Yost & Campbell to install a 20 kilowatt generator. If I had not been directly involved in the entire process, by pushing to get permits, pushing to send in paperwork for inspections, pushing to communicate with ConEdison (for meter upgrade), I'd still be waiting for the installation to be completed. Now, 6 months after installation was completed, the MobileLink stopped working...this is the uplink that monitors the generator's condition and reports any problems via internet and cellphone. I have been waiting 6 weeks for a replacement, only to find out that one was never ordered by Yost & Campbell! Though I would give the installers high marks for their work, I have to give the owner and the person he designates to be in charge of all generator projects, both an "F". I have now contacted Generac directly for a replacement of my MobileLink device and they will be referring me to another service provider for my needs...Recommendation: Steer clear of Yost & Campbell!!!

Easy to do Business With

As a single mother, I do not have time to go to the town or coordinate Con Ed, plumber, and a electrician. Yost and Campbell handled it all seamlessly and painlessly. I would highly recommend them to any one in Scarsdale

A pleasure to have them work on our house

I hired Yost & Campbell to install our new generator because they had been here to install the new nest thermostat and check our air conditioning. All experiences with them have been excellent. From the people who answer the phone to the guys who show up at the door, they are friendly and professional. The generator installation went very smoothly. Several guys showed up to work outside while two worked inside figuring our which circuits we needed and carefully explaining to us how the system worked and what we needed to know. They made sure that during installation I was informed of everything so that I would be aware that the power would turn off and come back on, and since I have a home based business I needed to know every detail. They came back the next day to explain the system test it and get it running for us. Everyone was terrific, they were neat and polite and professional. We are very pleased and would hire Yost & Campbell for any job in our home. We highly recommend them and we are thrilled to know that the next time the power is out, I can run my business and our food will be preserved and we can even have internet and TV!
