Outstanding 28 kVA Genera

I recently had a whole-home 28 kVA Generac generator installed through Home Depot, with Woodhyrst handling the entire process, and this was hands-down the best contractor experience of my life. From the very first conversation with the sales team, everything was professional, transparent, and helpful. They walked me through the options, answered every question thoroughly, and made the whole decision process straightforward and pressure-free. No hard sell—just solid, knowledgeable guidance. The installers from Woodhyrst were truly excellent. They showed up on time, treated the property with complete respect, and worked with a level of skill and professionalism that stood out. Everything was kept clean and organized, communication was clear the entire time, and they took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and what I could expect once the unit was online. You can tell they take real pride in their work. The finished install looks clean and professional, and the 28 kVA Generac has already given me real peace of mind. Overall, this was THE best home improvement projects I’ve ever gone through. Home Depot made the purchasing side easy, and the Woodhyrst installers delivered an outstanding job with real expertise. Highly recommend both if you’re considering a Generac generator. Particular compliments to AJ and Shawn of the install team, they were tremendous at addressing specific issues of my particular install as well as making sure the install was done in an amazingly quick amount of time, they were excellent and I can’t say enough about them.

Generator for our home

This was a very positive process, from the estimator to the installation. The wait time for installation was shorter than expected. The installation went smoothly and everything was explained to us before they left. I hope I never need to use it but it is there now, just in case.

Would highly recommend Woodhyrst! Very professional from the sales, office personnel, to the installers. Quick and efficient installation and explained the generator process very well after the install.

Woodhyrst / Generac

I just had an 18Kv Generac system installed by Woodhyrst Inc. They did an excellent job from the initial contact to the installation. Chris Jockel was my first contact from the company. He came out to quote the job. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He has been very quick to respond to any of my e-mails containing questions. The electrical crew of AJ, Shawn and Jesse did a very good job of running all of the wiring and placing the equipment. The plumbers, led by Jerome, also did a great job of finishing off the installation. I highly recommend Woodhyrst. They are great representatives of Generac products. I was also impressed with the overall appearance and design of the inside of the generator. I look forward to many years of use.

Installation

I just had my Generac installed. The electricians, Shawn and AJ were extremely pleasant and efficient. They got right to work and completed their job in a timely manner. They answered all my questions and cleaned up after they finished. It was a pleasure working with them on this project.

Works Great

It didn't take long after installation (January 2026) to see our first loss of power. Generator performed flawlessly for 10 hours. General and Woodhyrst make a great team.

So far so good

Woodhyrst Inc. was easy to work with. They responded when needed. The installers, AJ and Shawn were efficient, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They answered all our questions. The generator had the features I wanted. So far we haven’t needed it yet.
