Winchester Electric has been servicing my older Generac for 6 or more years. Recently, they serviced it and I knew it was probably time to replace the old battery. They had a battery and the materials on hand, and they were fast and efficient, no extra appointment needed. They are my go-to company for Generac expertise in the greater Winchester area.

When the blizzard of 2016 hit on January 22 and 23, 2016, I found that my generator light was red. With winds averaging 30 - 35 miles per hour and the temperatures in the teens, I wanted help in resetting my generator. However, 3 - 5 foot snow drifts in my driveway prevented anyone from coming to my house to help. I phoned Winchester Electric at 4:30 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon and left a VM. Within 5 minutes, the owner called me back. He listened to my problem and said that he would do his best to put a technician in touch with me by phone. Within 20 minutes, a technician phoned me. He spent approximately 30 minutes with me on the phone while walking me through the reset procedures. When at first the reset did not work, the technician said that my gas line may be frozen. He stayed with me on the phone while I heated a pan of water to pour on the frozen pipe. Twice again, he walked me through the reset procedures when finally the generator started. Without a doubt, this was one of the best examples of customer service that I have ever experienced anywhere. Thank you so much to the owner and to his knowledgeable and customer service friendly technicians!

The installation of a generator is important to the safety of the Customer and the long term use of the generator. Winchester Electric does a great job to make sure it is done properly.

I have worked with this dealer for over eight years now and he is the most thorough on site visits that I've seen. He is always willing to accommodate different times with the other party's involved. As far as I am concerned he is the #1 dealer in the area.

Made an appointment to have generator serviced. Was told to expect technician around 9 AM. Called dealer at 9:30 and was told that technician had left 20 minutes prior and should be at my location any minute. Called dealer again at 10:30 and was given technician's cell number. Called that number and went right to voice mail. Technician finally called at 11:30 and said he didn't know he was supposed to be at my location at 9. Told him I thought he and the scheduler needed to get their act together. Received a call from scheduler about five minutes later saying they didn't like my inference that they didn't have their act together and further they were pulling the technician off the job and didn't really want my business. Winchester Electric may be technically competent, but I wouldn't know because in my estimation they are administratively clumsy and just plain rude. I have dealt with many other service vendors who respect the value of their customers' time and are much more accurate in their estimation of service visit times. If you deal with Winchester Electric, you'd better be prepared to devote the day to waiting for the technician because they have no idea when the technician is going to get around to you.

When I decided to purchase a generator, I interviewed a number of local electricians. I was surprised that they all recommended Terry at Winchester Electric for the purchase of the generator. When I first spoke with Terry, he told me his work load and when I could expect the installation to be completed. He also served as the coordinator of for the electrician, propane company and county inspection people.I could not have been more pleased with his contribution.
