Took advantage of elderly customer

In 2020 my mother purchased a Generic standby home generator (with 10 year warrantee) from VanderHyde. In June 2022 their tech replaced a corroded part and pressured her to purchase an extended warrantee for $988. She gave him a check with a notation it was for 18 mo warrantee. Neither he nor the main office provided her with any receipt or paperwork, as requested. Long story short, I was told by woman in charge of Generac products the 18 mo extended guarantee was only to "guarantee the work done that day for 18 months"! What kind of company charges a customer to guarantee the work of their employees?

Initial happy but turned sour

Was very happy initially with the service, just 1st service, and they added to the 2 empty breakers for me. After about 2-3 month realized it had been doing the monthly cycle. I called them up after checking it. An rpm alarm was indicated and checked the oil. OVER FLOWED right out the dipstick. Put in an request for a service call let them know the details, and for over a month no call no shows and continue to reschedule and no call no show. I do not recommend this company, so after initially being quite happy it feels nothing more than bad business practices and gaslighting until you are fed up

Excellent Service

I would like to convey my complete satisfaction with the installation and customer service that I received with the installation my Generac 13KW whole house generator. Everything from the initial contact and quotation was done in a very professional manner. We have had to use it on one 4 hour occasion and it was great not to have to worry about anything. I have and will continue to recommend your company to anyone considering a whole house generator.

Generator/Power Install

Vanderhyde has a very responsive and thorough propositional process which provides for great communication with the buyer so both parties know what to expect. I found this as a differentiator vs some other companies in their field. This process allows for a much smoother installation and eliminates the "surprises" which nobody likes. Their support back in the office is also very responsive and friendly!

Vander Hyde is fantastic!

I found Vander Hyde to be just fantastic. Everyone was on time from estimates to actual instillation of the Generac. Any questions were answered with a quick e-mail or phone call and I had lots of questions. They helped with getting us the people we needed to deal with at the utility companies. Utilities were the hardest thing to organize. Its amazing how 3 days of instillation can give you security, confidence and peace of mind. Nice to know that the Generac is keeping you safe and Vander Hyde will be there to take care of your Generac.

Quality dealer

Very professional from the first meeting till the final installation. Job done in less then the time quoted despite a quite involved installation. Great salesman who really knew his product, great installers who knew what they were doing and a great office for support.
