Upstate Power Systems, LLC

Fantastic Experience

Scott and his team made this experience simple and stress free!! The team showed up at the scheduled time and got right to work. After the installation was complete, Scott walked us through the operation of the unit and took the time to answer our questions. I would “HIGHLY” recommend his team to anyone who is interested in a standby generator!!

Look no further-the BEST

Don't even bother looking for another company to purchase, install, or service a Generac generator. The Generac website provided a few recommendations to talk to, but we stopped when we talked to Scott. He is the owner and not a sales person, who answered the phone and answered all my questions. Scott's patience and ability to talk with you—not "pitch" you— sealed the deal for me. I knew we would be contracting with Upstate Power Systems even before he visited us with the presentation. The generator was just installed this Monday and his team, Andrew and Art were efficient, respectful of our home/property, and very personable. A generator is a purchase we've debated about for years. Scott and team made the big purchase and install completely painless, from start to finish.

Outstanding Experience

We recently had a whole-home generator installed by Upstate Power Systems, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Scott’s communication was outstanding. From the initial sales call through the final installation, he was responsive, proactive, and clear about every step of the process. We always knew what to expect and when to expect it, which is rare these days. Our property presented some unique challenges when it came to locating the generator. Rather than defaulting to the easiest option, Scott took the time to carefully evaluate multiple placement possibilities. His attention to detail was impressive, and he ultimately selected an ideal location that balanced functionality, aesthetics, and code requirements. He also handled all town permitting, which removed a major burden from our shoulders and ensured everything was done properly and compliantly. Perhaps most notably, he scheduled the installation and completed it exactly as promised, even with single-digit temperatures the day before. In a time when many contractors struggle with timelines, that level of reliability stands out. Scott and his team were professional, thorough, and dependable throughout the entire process. I would confidently recommend Upstate Power Systems to anyone considering a whole-home generator installation.

Highly Recommmend

Scott and his team did a Generac home generator install for us. They did a great job. Would highly recommend them.

generac installed yesterday (11/24/25) by Scott forte, Upstate power systems, ionia, ny. Scott has been very cordial, professional and very thorough in all contacts and in installation. I will certainly recommend him to anyone looking for backup generators in our area. Generator appears to handle all our backup electricity concerns.

Highly Recommend!

We did extensive research and gathered proposals from 5 different area vendors. Upstate and Scott were absolutely amazing. They provided a small business approach that listened to every concern we had. Because we were unsure with our power demands, they even came out and helped us measure our current and max load to ensure we were right sizing the generator and not just going off a worksheet. Experienced, professional, and a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend.

Top tier turnkey install

Don’t pay big dealer prices when you can get the same quality install and top tier service from this dealer! Scott and his team provided a professional installation and exemplified true customer service, a one day installation, and even cleaned up better than I had before they came. They explained everything and did what they said they would do, and more. Ignore the hype and don’t overpay, if you want a quality, professional, workmanlike installation just like the big companies for thousands less, look no farther.

Best sales & install crew

Scott and his crew, Art and Andrew did an awesome job in installing an 18kw whole house generator. Their communication process from sale to installation is top notch. They also installed the generator with 2 other contractors on site at the same time and communicated well between them

Awesome dealer
