We put in a large whole-house generator because we lose power with some frequency in our neighborhood, and we have electric sump pumps to keep our basement from flooding. TriStar worked with us to select the right product considering the circumstances and limitations of our neighborhood permitting process. Our point person, Scott, was fantastic and very responsive. We continue to have great luck with the generator and with TriStar!

We had TriStar put in our generator when our house was put in. I have only had one incident in which the generator was having a problem. I didn't even know that there was an issue and TriStar's monitoring caught the problem immediately and came and performed the maintenance needed. Tri-Star has been servicing our generator since it was installed. Their technicians are responsive, professional, and take time to explain what they find. Recently we had an issue where the generator would stop running during its weekly test cycle, reporting a RPM Sense Loss error. We contacted Tri-Star and they sent a technician out who found a stuck breather in the generator's air box. Unfortunately the generator stopped during its next test cycle and so the issue seemed not to have been solved. We contacted Tri-Star again to have someone come out and look at the generator. Tri-Star thought that a new air box plunger needed to be installed. It took several phone calls and weeks before our generator was fixed. Luckily we didn't have any emergency where we would have needed the generator. The problem ended up being a known problem with our model of generator where a low voltage sensor needed to be disabled. Since this latest fix I am happy to report that the generator has been performing its test run perfectly for the last couple of weeks.

We have had Tristar as our dealer for our generator for the past five years. They are always professional, and do an excellent job servicing our generator. We have also used them for some other electrical issues that we had. If I could rate them higher the five stars I would!

We had our Generac installed by another dealer 4 years ago, and were VERY disappointed with the service. Tri Star was recommended and we decided to contract maintenance with them- what a difference! A very thorough review in and out on our 14KW generator, 2 visits a year under contract, and they set appoinment and spoke with us instead of "showing up on their own time and billing"....no more phantom maintenance calls! Call them!
