Damaged Lid
I bought a 26KW Generator from The Service Company in Meridian MS. The generator was delivered with a damaged lid. It had been removed from the crate and transported on a small trailer with a single strap over the center of the generator holding it down. Not sure if the way it was transported damaged it or it came out of the crate that way. The lid is not aligned with the frame. It does not seal properly, and the lid has to be forced down to get the keyed latch to lock the lid. Three attempts were made by The Service Company to correct the problem over three months with negative results. After replacing a hinge and bending some of the components the lid shift from side to side as you lift it to open. I just finally gave up on dealing with this company and decided to accept the generator as is. Not sure it will keep the water out in a blowing rain.
