Why over price

When I requested a quote from T-Mark, a technician came out to give me a quote for a 7.5KW Generac generator. After conducting the survey, he said it would cost $8,000 for both the installation and the unit. I informed him that I had received quotes of $7,100 for a 10KW unit and $5,085 for a 7.5KW unit. Strangely, I asked for a copy of his quote but was not provided one. It seems that T-Mark is not using Generac’s standard price sheet. According to Generac’s pricing, I should be able to get an 18KW generator for a similar price. Is the price inflated because of the Bills and Sabres commercials you’re sponsoring? Additionally, the technician attempted to ask for the names of the other companies I got quotes from, but I declined to share that information. Those quotes are between them and me. T-Mark is a well-known company, but in my opinion, you are overcharging compared to the prices listed on Generac’s price sheet. Based on the other quotes I’ve received, I will be choosing a different provider, as T-Mark’s pricing appears to be unnecessarily high.
