Their service department needs much improvement. I have an annual service contract with them for my 11 KW Generac home stand-by generator. I called them today to inquire about the yellow light on the generator, and ask when the next appointment was. The service desk lady told me that "It is up to the customer to call us and schedule and appointment." I went to to ask "I have an annual maintenance plan - when was the last time I got service?" She said "It was June of 2023." and I said "So... I am overdue?" and she says, "Yes, but since we have so many generator customers we cannot possibly call every single one of them to remind them." That statement alone tells you that this place needs more back office automation. I thought the whole point of having an annual maintenance plan for $200+ plus is not have to worry about these things. I had propane service before and the same issue. The technicians are fine once they arrive - it is the management and the service desk people that need better customer service training and need to upgrade their scheduling systems.

Great installation and support!

Since we live in the historic district the standby generator required prior permission from the Bristol Historic Commission. We also needed the utility company to increase the gas line capacity from the street and have a new gas meter installed so the generator could support the electrical needs of our home. We went out for bids using some of the vendors on Angie's lists and found that Sunshine Oil and in particular, Steve, was the most knowledgeable, responsive and professional of all of them. He handled the approval process for the generator for us and helped expedite the work that National Grid needed to do. He did a fine job of coordinating the project. The installation team, especially the electricians on the job, were very experienced, skillful and helpful. I would highly recommend Sunshine Oil for this type of project.
