Horrible communication

I will leave 4 messages in a week and get no response. Been waiting for months to have my generac repaired. I was told the parts were under warranty and would be repaired asap. That was 4 months ago. I don’t understand why no one can call me back. Occasionally I’ll get transferred to someone who knows what’s going on, just to be told they’ll look into it and get back with me. And then I hear nothing until I start calling again 2-3 weeks later. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the original guy that came out to look at it was very friendly and helpful and patient with all my questions.

No New Customers

Unfortunately, they are not accepting any new customers until 2025 as of 8/20/2024.

NewServiceCustomer, NOPE!

I was referred to Storm Guardian by the Corporate Headquarters of Generac. When I called about setting up a maintenance service and performing warranty work, I was asked if I was an existing customer or a new one. I replied, "new". Her reply, "oh it will be at least 12 weeks before we can get out there".

24/7 Service is inadequat

In the past I have been able to reach them but immediately after the Hurricane I was unable to even get someone to answer the phone. They need 24/7 ability to at least answer questions. I did get through to the Generac Corp. office. I left a message to return my call and have yet to hear back from them

Buyer Beware

In February 2023 I upgraded two 20 kw generators on two houses on my property. I upgraded to a 38 kw and a 26 kw. I've had to rely twice on the 38 kw and it has failed BOTH times! I bought them through STORM GUARDIAN GENERATORS in Alvin, TX who now won't answer their business phone and can't leave a message because their box is full of messages. Hurricane Beryl just blew through here and this kind of treatment is unacceptable. Texas heat index can reach triple digits. They didn't install correctly and came back to fix it way before the storm MANY TIMES and it was supposed to be fixed! Storm Guardian Generators and GENERAC get a ZERO MINUS rating from me! I can't get in touch with anyone. To submit to this review I have to agree to Generac's User-Generated Contents Terms of Use so no one will probably see this review anyway. AND I HAVE TO PUT A CHECK ON ONE STAR.. So frustrating.

Great experience!

Storm Guardian in Alvin installed our Generac generator and from start to finish it was a smooth, pleasant experience. The generator was installed right and is working perfectly. I have heard horror stories of bad installs with other companies from friends. I'm super glad we went with Storm Guardian!

Choosing Storm Guardian to install our Generac was a good choice. We are very pleased with our unit and with the customer service we received throughout the process. We have friends who used another company for their installation and they had lots of problems. We are thankful ours went so smoothly!!

Maintenance Technician Did Great Job

The Storm Guardian Generators maintenance technician that serviced my unit this week, patiently and thoroughly shared with me each of the maintenance steps he performed and provided key insight into several operational aspects of my 1-year-old Generac unit. I feel considerably more informed and much more comfortable with this unit after my time with him He did a great job. I would welcome him being the maintenance person you send every time. This Storm Guardian Generators maintenance person also brought several spare parts I had requested. This initial service experience with Storm Guardian Generators was a very positive experience as well as resulting in getting my generator properly maintained.

SGG is excellent with workmanship, customer service. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, personable and give you the trust in every way.
