From start to finish, our experience with Scarborough Electric was top notch!  Roger and Monica were so helpful during the entire process. Roger was extremely knowledegable and answered all of the questions we had prior to deciding what options were best for us.  Once we honed in on what we wanted, he took care of all of the permitting and paperwork.  He gave an accurate timeline for the installation as well.  On the day of the installation he was very mindful about laying down tarps throughout my house to maintain a clean work area while he did the inside wiring.  We were without power for approximately 2 hours while the actual hook up took place.  After he was finished, I was most impressed with how it looked at the site where the generator was placed.  They installed a very nice brick edging area the generator and filled it in with a stone that complimented the look of my house!  I would absolutely recommend Scarborough Electric to anyone looking to install a generator! We are so pleased with the work Roger and his crew did!

He was not the cheapest proposal I received, but he is the person I felt would do the best job. As a person who has spent most of his life in construction management the question I heard most often other than how do we get the price down? Is who would you recommend? Without hesitation I would recommend Rodger. I met him at a home show and what I first noticed was rather then sell me he chose to educate me. Later when I decided to contact him for an estimate, we arranged a day and time and as luck would have it, it was snowing. I fully expected that the appointment would be rescheduled. Scarborough Electric did a great job on giving me their estimate for the generator, all parts and service. Total installation from start to finish was just under two weeks including some additional indoor wiring, retaining all local township permits, working with the local township inspectors and patch work to the house for a final touch. And they handle both yearly maintenance and emergency service as needed and they can provide you additional generator running information via email or smart phone to keep you in touch of the status of your generator.....at home or work or on vacation.

Mr. Scarborough provides a complete service (selection of unit, obtaining permits, arranging inspection, placing the generator and completing the wiring. Gas connection was handled by his sub-contractor). Mr. Scarborough is personable and has excellent customer service skills. It is pleasure to work with him. The installation went smoothly. I was kept fully informed at each step. Obstacles (minor) were quickly overcome. Mr. Scarborough is unflappable; the best electrician I have ever worked with. No attitude, no excuses, no "I can't", no delays. The unit has gone through one exercise so far and appears to be working well. I haven't been able to see how it handles an electrical outage yet, but given my utility's track record, I shouldn't have long to wait. If you need a generator, call Scarborough Electric. Wow Sandy hits us hard, we were out of power for 3 long, cold, dark and damp days/nights. So we made a decision to get a whole house generator. I did my research and found that Generac generators were the best out there. I went on their web site and found this company. I read their reviews and decided to have them come out for a estimate. Roger showed up on the time and day that we decided on. He was very friendly and very knowledgable on whole house generators. Also was very knowlegable on permits that were required and the spot were the generator has to be positioned. We settled on a price (which I think was very good) and I gave him a deposit to place the order with Generac. He said he would call me when the generator came in but in the mean time he went and obtained the permits that were required. That was a big load off my mind. Within weeks Roger came out and prepared the site where the generator was being place. He laid down the proper pad and then did landscaping around it as to blend in with the stone of the house. I must say that he did a great job. Because of the storm Sandy, Generac was back ordered. Roger called me to keep me up dated with delivery dates. Again Roger called me to say that the generator was delivered to his company. The next day he was out there installing the generator. He did a great job and the placement was so that you can not even see it from the street. I just blends in so well with the surrounding shrubs. I got a service contract with him which was the best thing I did. Roger calls me and I see him out there checking on my gererator like it was one of his kids. He sets the times and checks all the computor codes that the generator saves. I can go on and on but the bottom line is. The work was done beyond expertations. Roger was very knowlegable and friendly and I would recommed this Company to all.
