Royal Oak Heating Cool & Elctr INC

Great Generator

Royal Oak did a great job on our generator! They were great to work with.

Friendly, experienced, and a fair price

In October 2021 I started down a path with another company that turned out to be a nightmare installation of a Briggs & Stratton generator. Six weeks later I had them return and remove the entire installation. In December 2021 I started my hunt for a generator installation company in Oakland County, Michigan. Through a Google search I stumbled upon Royal Oak Heating, Cooling, and Electrical. From my very first contact with Angela at their office I've been pleased with everyone. Within a week or so their master electrician Mike was at my house reviewing our needs and providing an estimate for an installation. I sourced the new generator and components myself, as virtually no generator companies are able to aquire generators with less then a 4-5 month lead time. I immediately got "good vibes" from Mike. My wfie and I decided to hire them for our generator installation. Fast forward to today. After hundreds of hours of sourcing both the generator and associated installation parts on line, I finally had everything in place for the install. Mike and one of his electrical crews and one of his gas crews arrived at the time specified. They were all very pleasant young men who introducted themselves and gave a terrific first impression. The four of them, and MIke (who was onsite most of the day) got right to work. They covered any area of my home that they were working in with canvas tarps to keep the floors clean. They were happy to wear face masks for the entire time they were in the house. They worked quickly and efficiently - and quietly. A very respectful and hardworking group of men. The install went perfectly and as promised. Our new Generac generator fired up on first try, transfered the electric load when put to the test, and shutdown awaiting a real power outage in the future. I highly recommend Royal Oak Heating, Cooling, and Electrical. Their price was fair, they scheduled the work promptly, and were happy to work with some of the changes I made along the way.
