Mike was great from start to finish. He patiently walked us through the process and our options, layouts, etc. He went above and beyond our expectations every step of the way too; from getting us a generator much sooner than expected, to his meticulous installation work. On top of that, he was very friendly and personable. We couldn't be happier with his work.

Can't say enough about this dealer

Mike, the owner of this company just left after installing a Generac 7172 and I can't be more pleased with this job. Not only did he explain different models and which would fit my needs without unnecessary "extras", he also pointed out another model that was recommended by another dealer was a "discontinued" model. I completed my due diligence by calling Generac directly and they confirmed the model in question was indeed discontinued. If the other dealer had told me it was discontinued and provided an acceptable warranty I probably would have chosen them. However, after speaking with Mike I felt the other dealer was not being as "upfront" with me as they should have been. Mike provided a newer model for the same price of the discontinued. I am also in the mist of having other work done, (a gas fireplace installation and additional electrical work). Mike not only completed his job in a timely and (very) competent manner, he also made it a point to meet with my other contractors to make sure his work and their work coincided and everyone was on the same page. I am very happy with this dealer and would recommend him highly.

We travel a lot and wanted backup power. We chose Ratey Renovations because they are a smaller company and we value that. Mike Ratey did great work, very knowledgeable, kind and fair price. The MobileLink monitoring system is cool too.

We recently bought a new house with an old Generac that had not been used in a long time. Based on our realtors recommendation we called Ratey Renovations to replace it.Mike carefully looked it over and with some new parts had it up and running in a few hours! We still cannot believe our good fortune. They are obviously very knowledgeable and honest. We were told the benefits of current models and may upgrade someday. For now we are happy to have them service the old one.

I highly recommend Mike Ratey at Ratey Renovations! Mike installed our whole-home backup generator about 2.5 years ago. His work was professional and efficient.

Mike Ratey was accommodating , worked with me to find the right circuits to power and installed the system carefully. The installation went well, no problems with inspection. While the operating manual does an adequate job of covering the operation of the system, I would have benefited from a detailed walk-through by Mike. Otherwise, very satisfied.

I was looking to install a backup generator and went to the Generac website to research generators While I was there I found Ratey Renovations as a nearby dealer. The ratings were five star so I gave them a call. My call was returned within an hour and he stopped by later that day. Mike determined what model I needed, and developed a quote on the spot. Installation was within a week. Mike handled the obtaining of the building permit and the scheduling of the electrical inspection Installation was accomplished in two days. All work was neatly done and Mike allowed me to observe him during the installation. Mike contacted me when he was going to start work and he arrived at the time he stated. All phone calls or emails were promptly answered.I would highly recommend Mike for any generator installation.

Mike Ratey promptly returned my calls and was flexible with my busy schedule. I became very comfortable with his quiet confidence. He even brought 2 pairs of workboots, 1 for my muddy yard and the other to keep inside my house clean! How can you beat that? We also signed up for his yearly service schedule for $149, the best price we found.
