Had solar panels, Generac inverter, and Generac battery installed over 1 year ago. System still not working properly. Oak never responds to my calls or emails. They only respond when I refuse to pay the rest of my invoice until I have a working system. Then someone comes out and looks at things and says they need to order some parts. Then they don't get back to me. They did finally replace some parts in the inverter but never asked if that solved the problems. It didn't. I am still waiting. I do not recommend this company AT ALL.

If I could give this company a negative rating I would. My mom ordered a generator from Lowe's last fall. Lowe's contracted Oak Electric out of Waterford, MI to perform the install. The entire process has been a nightmare.

Called Oak to get an estimate on a generator installation. Left my name and phone number. Never received a call back. That tells me a lot about Oak. Enough said!!

This is my first service from Oak. The customer contact person was very friendly and polite. The service person was on time and explained what was going on. He did the routine service and also showed me on old oil container that the previous service tech had left in the unit. I expect to use Oak Electric for future generator and other needs.

Oak Electric installed my generator 5 years ago and they maintain the generator on a yearly basis. The installation team was very friendly professional; I have not had any problems with the generator.

He gave me an estimate on the spot and gave me an installation date. The 4 installation guys came out on time and did a great job on a nasty drizzly day.and cleaned up after themselves .

From the original estimate, to project planning and implementation, everything went as planned. They showed up when they said they would, worked diligently and professionally, and completed generator installation ahead of schedule. We purchased a Whole home generator from Oak Electric in May of '16. They came out & installed it without a hitch. So far it is operating as expected, however we have yet to lose power to our home to give a response on how the generator responded. We would recommend Oak Electric to anybody who is in the market for one!

Oak Electric installed a Generac backup generator in our home within 6-7 hours. They sent 3 technicians to do the job, each with the specific expertise required. They did the installation with minimum disruption to the existing gas and electric service and we were hardly inconvenienced despite the extensive work being done. The work was clean and professional. We would recommend Oak Electric to anyone installing a Generac backup electrical system.

Jeremy, Brett and Lisa were a pleasure to work with. Purchasing and installation was made very easy. The "crew" did what they said they would and in the time frame stated. Lisa was able to move up the installation by a week. Jeremy explained the purchasing and installation very well. He sold me all the necessary equipment and didn't try to sell extras. Brett and the installation crew were friendly and courteous. I recently moved and based on my experience with Oak Electric installing a generator at my last home the only call I made was to Oak Electric. The entire experience was outstanding from the sales call to the installation. The site was very muddy due to recent heavy rain and no landscaping at the new construction site. The crew did an excellent job taking their boots off each time they came in the house. I am very pleased with the generator and the installation.

Brett and his team did a fantastic Generac install. Brett was open to answer questions along the way. He was comfortable with an "interested" customer. Started at 8:30 am and completed by day's end. Very professional team. Everyone knew there job and acted accordingly. Can't say enough about this team and time Brett spent at end explaining the unit and its exercise cycle. To date, it exercises each week with a green light!

Just to let you know the crew did a fantastic job. They were very professional and personable. I was thoroughly happy with the the install and the way they left the site. The worst service ever had. Came out and would not warrant the problem because they wanted to upswell there terrible service. Computer board bad and installed and took out then charged 200.00 for there problem bad service. Do not use

Joe, my salesman and Chad, the lead man on the installation were very good. As a retired tradesman, I was impressed with Chad's installation techniques. I have not had the city inspection to confirm the installation. My only surprise was that the gas piping was done in flexible tubing, not gas pipe and the power cables used aluminum wire, not copper. The installation occurred 4 days ago so except for the test outage, new generator has not been put to the 'real test'.

Our generator has been installed for seven months and it is has been a fiasco. I have two electrical panels and only sending power to one from the transfer switch. The re-wired panel was overloaded. The wrong circuits were put into the wrong panel. The 2 panels were mis-marked. We lost power and several breakers tripped and others circuits were in the wrong panel. It takes weeks to get someone out here. Great salesman the worst install ever. Still waiting

I left several messages 3 days ago when our generator failed to start during a power outage and I'm still waiting for a simple return call. Although their ad states 24/7 emergency service, all phone numbers I tried for them went to the same recorded message indicating they'll call back at THEIR earliest CONVENIENCE! Apparently it hasn't yet been convenient for them to return my call. How can they state 24/7 service when their calls do not even transfer to an answering service? One time when I called it stated their mailbox was full. From my experience, the customer service was not what you would expect from a business with high ratings from Generac and they lost a new customer because of it.

Installed a Generac 48KW and have had nothing but problems with it. It continually fails to start during its weekly exercise and goes into overcrank shutdown. Have to wait 2 weeks typically to get it serviced and then if fails again shortly after. What good is a generator if it fails to work when needed and service won't respond in a timely manner.

They were very professional and kept there appointment, also helped me answer any questions I had about my generator, and jeremy sold me the right size for my house and it did what he said it would. Its been at my house working since 2008

Oak Electric installed our 20KWH Genentech Back up Generator on 2/4/14.Their approach from initial discussion to installation was comprehensive and helpful. Although this device is expensive, the effort made and time taken to install correctly was evident. The team of three led by Ryan was able to install on an extremely cold day. Whenever I have questions, Oak Electric provides me with answers.

I WAS ADVISED THE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE AND COST. THEY WERE PLEASANT TO TALK TO AND ANSWERED OUR MANY QUESTIONS PATIENTLY. THE ENTIRE JOB WAS HANDLED VERY PROFESSIONALLY. Three gentlemen called and arrived exactly when scheduled. About 1 hr into project the weather went from sprinkles to a downpour that lasted a several hours but they kept working. Because the power had to be shut off for them to work they hooked up a gas power generator to my sump pump so that it could keep up with the rain and not flood my finished basement. They also made sure that I had all the manuals and a walk through of the work they did and explained operation of my new whole house generator. The also cleaned up outside and inside too. I am very pleased with the work they did while putting up with some much rain, wind and mud. Thanks again. Great Job.

I owned a 12 yr old 15kW generator (powering 12 circuits in my home on an auto transfer switch) that was damaged recently. I called Oak Electric (Michelle) to get a repair quote as well as other repair/replace options. I ended up purchasing a new 20kW generator with a service rated 200A Nexus Smart switch. Now we have "whole house" power as well as the ability to power air conditioners (due to the smart switch).

I wanted a turn-key, hassle-free sale and installation. Oak Electric delivered on both fronts. I was so pleased, I bought the same generator for a family member from Oak Electric.

Oak installed an automatic switch panel that had been obsoleted by the manufacturer 2 years before our installation.When the panel failed Oak wanted $300.00 to fix it.The owner of Oak refused to talk to me about them standing behind the obsoleted panel.

I experienced no problems of any kind in the "generator process". I was given several alternatives as to generator size (depending on how extensive I wanted the stand-by to be). The obtaining of the permit was expedient and installation was scheduled upon receipt of the permit.The workmen installing the generator were courteous and professional. They were familiar with what needed to be done (such as relocating circuits) based on my prior discussion with the salesperson. The installation of the wiring, gas lines, etc. was very neatly done.
