Nytric Electrical Contractors LLC

watch out

I had owned my Generac generator for 1 year when the service light came on. I called NYTRIC for service. A tech showed up 2 days later. He installed a new spark plug but did not check the gap on the new plug before installing it. He changed the oil & filter but did not lubricate the oil filter gasket before installing the filter. He added 5W-30 full synthetic oil. The tech informed me that the generator had 8 hrs run time on it. The manual states the generator has a 25 hr break in period and to use conventional oil during that period. This causes the engine to wear a little. Failure to do this can cause a condition called dry start. If the engine does not get broken in properly then it might not get lubrication which can lead to engine failure and possibly a voided warranty. I went out 2 days later and changed the oil & filter with 5W-30 conventional oil. When the tech saw that the generator only had 8 hrs run time he should have informed me that it only needed an oil & filter change, not a complete service call. They even charged me $37 for mileage to drive to my house. I should have charged them $37 to drive to their office to pay the bill. So, I paid $307.00 for nothing and I spent $20 to change the oil & filter myself. Yes, I lubricated the oil filter gasket. I also pulled the spark plug and checked the gap. Was I wrong to expect better service?

Nytric is the only place

Best in the business!! Service was out standing, went above and beyond at last minute call. Looked into North Country Generators but never trust a person that doesn’t use what they sell for their own home. He uses Kohler Standby NOT generac. Nytric you will get hard working employees that take pride in what they do and they know they are taken care of.
