Unprofessional support

Ok, so the actual generator is great. The installation went very well too. Where my problem started is when I found a minor oil leak and called NWI Generator for a warranty service call. She wouldn't answer me if an oil leak was covered under warranty, even if it's an oil line. She said someone will be calling me back for an appointment. Well after a month, nobody called and the oil leak isn't going away. I called back to see whats going on and she told me they don't do service calls, I have to call another company for that (Four Seasons). So I called the number that I was given, and they said I have to go through my dealer. Hmmmm, ok then. So I call back and just wanted to know if the oil leak is under warranty. Of course, I get the run around. I can fix it myself easily but I didn't want to mess with the warranty. After a nice little verbal fight with the not so helpful lady, she says I have to wait 3 months for an available tech. I said no way! You guys will be replacing my engine when it leaks the oil out during the next power outage. She says to call another company then. I was like wow OK, that's how you are going to handle this? I hung up and someone from Four Seasons calls me back and said they will be out in a few days. I said great! They came out NO CHARGE because we think it's either the oil lines or oil cooler leaking. 2 weeks to get parts so I have to watch the oil level religiously. Well guess what happened next? Yep, the big storm last week. Generator has been running every day for 6 days. I shut it down daily too cool off and check the oil. It was low because they do use about a quarter quart per 24 hours of continuous work. Still waiting on parts but it will be OK for now. I WAS going to have NWI Generator quote me another generator and transfer switch plus installation for our other building, but hell no now! That lady that answers the phone ran me off with her smug attitude. I was calm at first until she started her attitude due to not listening to my issue and then blowing me off like an oil leak is no big deal. I literally told her that if we have another power outage, it might run out of oil and lock up the engine. Then we had the long outage a week later. I'm happy with the product and the installation, but when you pick up the phone for support after dropping that kind of money, you expect a friendly voice that's there to help you, not give you a hard time. No more NWI Generator for me! And I stopped recommending them to anyone. My next order is going to someone else. Would be 5 starts but that lady took the 2 away single handedly.

No customer support

No customer support. I have been doing business with them since installation in 7/2015. During the last storms coming through, my power was off and the generator did not turn on. I called and said they would send someone out. At midnight, he came and replaced the battery. All was good until the next day, it quit again. I called them back and was put on hold for over an hour. When someone finally talked to me, she said the next open appointment time would be June 29 at the end of the month. They didn't even want to fix their mistake. Poor customer support.

Very disappointed in response when needing service.. soonest appointment is a week out! Totally unacceptable.. why have a generator if I can’t get service when it’s not working so I’m back to worrying about losing power!!
