Had my generator installed January 2021, and figured I would wait a while before giving a review.Jim and the whole team were Great to deal with, did it when promised, very neat and professional, and I would HIGHLY Recommend.Was very happy to lose power several times this past summer :)

I highly recommend North Country Power Generation! We relocated from an area of the Pacific Northwest where the weather is mild and generators are the exception. I was willingly met on short notice for an initial consultation during our home-buying diligence period and educated on systems and options. Upon arrival to the area we were scheduled quickly and the installation was efficient and neat. Communication was excellent and I feel confident that we will be comfortable going into our first northern Michigan winter.

NCPG was great. They did two inspection trips prior to the install. Our vacation home is in the middle of no where in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan so it was a large time commitment on their part. We recently purchased a 16KW whole house generator with automatic transfer switch from North Country Power Generation. Their pricing for the equipment and installation was very competitive and we were happy to find a locally owned and operated company to business with. Jim was always responsive to questions before, during and after the installation. They were able to schedule the installation within two weeks of ordering the generator so that we could have the piece of mind the generator provides going into winter. The installation crew was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, completed the installation within 3 hours and made certain we understood the operation of the generator and transfer switch. I have an electric start portable Generac generator that had not been started for several years and would not start. I contacted NCPG for help. They were able to fix the multiple problems and train me on the use and care of the generator. Very friendly, highly competent, efficient and professional. A real pleasure to work with. I recently had a Generac home generator service call with North Country Power Generation (Elk Rapids, MI) We live in a remote wooded setting, and rely on our 20kW generator when the power goes out (which is often). Our tech Josh arrived on time and prepared. He quickly and accurately identified and fixed the problem. He was professional and highly skilled. As (bad) luck would have it, we experienced a 10 hour power outage within 12 hours of Josh's service, and the generator ran perfectly. Highly recommended.

I don't write many reviews but wanted to take a moment to comment on the great service from NCPG. Working with them prior to the install was very easy and trouble free. The owners were always available. At the time of install their crew was great. They worked in some pretty tough weather conditions (even taking the initiative to sand my steep driveway to arrive on time) to complete the installation on the date they promised. I would recommend them to anyone.

Totally awesome business. I am impressed with their entire service support. My phone call was answered first time. Serviceman showed when he said he would. Completed the service call in one trip. I will be recommending North Country to my salon customers and any one who is looking for a generac generator or a competent service department for the one they already own.
