We recently had a propane, whole house generator installed. Ken at Mountain Power Electric came to our house, reviewed our situation and asked exactly what we wanted. He made recommendations and told us what he would do and provided a very reasonable quote. During the process, he helped coordinate the various aspects of the installation. On the day of installation, everyone arrived on time and went right to work. They were all friendly and professional. The installation was completed in the allotted time and to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Mountain Power Electric in Murphy, NC recently installed a whole house generator for me. Initially, the owner (Ken) came out and put together an estimate that I thought was very reasonable. He took the time to answer all of the questions my wife and I had. Ken even took the time to explain how he would install certain components. I have used this company prior to this and was familiar with their workmanship, so it didn't take long for me to make a decision.Two technicians came out to install the generator. They were very knowledgeable, and also answered my questions. They were very confident and professional in their demeanor and abilities. The technicians worked seamlessly together on wiring the generator. I was impressed with the way they worked together. Nothing was said, they knew what had to be done, and they did it. I spent much of my time looking over their shoulders out of curiosity. I asked them if I could, and they invited me to.When the installation was complete I was in awe at how symmetrical the conduits looked in relation to the generator. Everything just looked so good, and I was very happy with the installation. With all of the wiring that's involved one might expect an issue on initial power up of the generator. There were none. The power up and test went as seamlessly as the technicians working together.Mountain Power Electric has earned my trust more than once. They will always get my business. Without a doubt, the team at Mountain Power Electric is among the most expert, friendly, and thoughtful firms we have dealt with in our entire lives. The initial inspection was thorough and clearly explained. The installation occurred without a hitch. We had met separately with the firm that provides our propane. MPE took it from there, facilitated the propane connection, and returned the next day to give us a walk-through of the back-up generator. We enthusiastically recommend MPE to anyone seeking a Generac product, and we assume they would be equally competent and responsive for electrical issues.

Excellent service from initial in house meeting thru installation. Ken and his team are knowledgeable electricians who go above and beyond to insure your equipment and all wiring is done correctly Cost was reasonable and installation process was coordinated by MPE to include the power company, gas company, building inspectors. These men were there early, got the job done fast and efficiently. The generator looks so beautiful!! Ken explained everything so that I could understand. AND when I have a question he actually answers his phone!!!! The test goes off like clockwork every month, I am very happy with it and feel so much safer out here in the woods!!!

We had an old Generac whole house industrial system that is water cooled that we inherited when we moved into our parent's home. Ken and his team worked with us to completely update this system. It required some time and effort, but Ken and his team stayed with it and now the system is completely updated and is working flawlessly. They know their stuff and have a lot of external resources to fall back on when they encounter a problem. They stuck with it until all problems were solved.

Excellant. The set up was easy and we had our 1st outage this morning since we've been hooked up. We don't have a whole house so we have to manage the breakers. We had to call Ken and he called us right back and sorted out our problems right away. We are ready for the next power outage and very happy w/ how it went and the fact that we got a response so quickly

He will give you an honest and straight-forward quote and he will live by it. He also is a full-service dealer meaning he can install the generator and do the electrical work as well. Great work on a tough installation. Mountain top house with difficult access to the optimum location for the generator, but even with the challenges the installation went very well. Very thorough survey prior to installation. Some minor electrical issues that had existed since the house was built were noted and then were repaired during the installation...very much appreciated. Through the entire process I had a very comfortable feeling with the dealer that all would be done properly. I would certainly recommend Ken and Mountain Power/Electric to anyone looking to have a generator installed.

Ken and Thomas installed a 20kw whole housegenerator for us. They was very prompt, easyto deal with and very knowledgeable. They tookextra time to explain how the unit operated, theload management system, fuel consumption,the maintenance required. Very easy folks todeal with.

I recently purchased a home with an older model Centurion. As a retired HVAC Tech, I hoped an experienced professional could inspect and upgrade the unit so that it would function properly and safely. Ken revealed significant problems in two areas: inefficient, non-code compliant propane feed and a potentially dangerous electrical imbalance. In only a few hours Ken and his team upgraded the entire older system to current building codes. Although this unit doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the newest models, its running like new again.

Ken and his team are awesome! We had a unique situation in that not all of our home equipment was tied into the main breaker panel. Ken was able to design and install a solution that allows our entire house to be covered by our new generator. I even know when my generator is running via mobile link.
