Horrible to work with

Moriarty has been less than ideal to work with since the beginning. We ordered the generator in July 2021 as well as a new panel and were told it would be ready in November. Figuring we would be getting it installed and online by years end, we happily put a deposit down for $5,000. Come early December, nothing from them. After many calls, we finally got answers and they scheduled us for the end of January for a hookup. And the gas hookup not until the end of February. A crew came yesterday, got about half way done, turned on the heat and water pump but nothing else. Now most of our house has no power. They didn\u2019t even show up today to finish. I called they they said the crew went to another job! They won\u2019t even give me any clue as to when they\u2019ll be back to finish. Never ever using Moriarty again. Horrible experience.

Cost not to exceed but not to be under

Moriarty was great during the quote and setup process. The people who came out were friendly and seem to know what they're doing as everything is functioning as intended. I was given a quote based upon some trenching and gas line install needed. I had other projects that resulted in both of those being done by other contractors. I was shocked when the bill came in just under the not to exceed price despite significantly less work. I noticed I was being charged for 8 hours of "electrical labor" for times at which no one was working at my property. I called for an explanation and was told "travel and prep" time. I asked for the bill to corrected to show the actual work performed and to itemize travel time as it is not the same as labor. I just received my 3rd statement and none of this has been changed despite conversations with the office manager. At first the emails were quick, as I raised concerns the replies got more and more spaced out. The guys were nice but the business practices seem shady, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Stuck at home with no call no show

I had made several calls to this dealer to set up an appointment for an estimate. I was looking to install a standby generator. I had the impression that they did not want my business. After several calls, I was able to set up an appointment to have them come to my home to review my needs. I took the time to call them the day before the appointment to ensure they were on track. They assured me they would show up as scheduled. I rearranged my schedule to be there. You can imagine my disappointment when they didn't show. I was even more put out that they didn't have the courtesy to call. If that's how I'm treated BEFORE they get my money, I can only imagine how I'd be treated after they get my cash in their hands. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Couldn't be more satisfied

The company coordinated very well with the gas company to deliver and neatly wire up the system with a minimum of inconvenience and time off grid. Techs willingly answered all questions, enjoyed their employment with Moriarty and were very friendly. Mark Moriarty the owner was personally on site to check on the installation

Stand by generator is the way to go!!

We purchased an 8k Stand By Generac Generator from Moriarty Electric over a year ago. They worked tirelessly for hours in the bitter cold during November! I wish I had purchased it during the summer, so I could have been ready for a power outage at the beginning of Nov. Due to my very high foundation, they even were able to drill through the concrete to run the wire into the transfer switch. I was thrilled to discover I could have many more outlets and rooms to have power than I had originally thought. When the power goes off, the Generac generator automatically turns on in less than a minute! I highly recommend this company for their expertise & professionalism. I have not had one problem & wish I had purchased a generator years ago. I also heard that it is a great addition to our home for resale - that many home buyers are looking for homes with generators.

Very Professional

Mark evaluated our needs, came up with a generator proposal that added a couple of extra items he explained were important, but even with the extras the quote was comparable with others. Everyone involved with the installation was very professional. Mark's proposal had a not-to-exceed clause and that's exactly what I was billed. No surprises.

The job was complex and even though he was very busy during that period, he took his time to work with us and all went well.
