I had Mohrmann come today after having 2 other electrical companies who are local come. Neither one knew what they were doing and unable to diagnose. One electrician who was face timing his boss broke the battery connectors and unscrewed the control board and told me to order a control board on Amazon and when it comes in he would be back. So I did while he was at the house. After giving it more thought I decided not to have them back, returned the control board and looked for another "generac electrician". The second electrician came and was jsut as clueless and mentioned that just because an electrician installs generators doesn't always mean they can repair them. Then why are you here. He left said he would be back and never returned nor would I have had him back. Mohrmann came today and I explained by recent 2 prior experiences and felt the generator was still fixable as it was always maintained and within 15 minutes I heard the generator start up. Dennis was professional, knowledgeable, had a fully stocked truck and explained everything to me about what he found, what was done and gave me assurance. Mohrmann was not local and yet they still came to service and repair our generator. It was a most refreshing experience knowing that we entrusted our home and safety with the repair of our generator to Mohrmann. I would recommend them to everyone and I will.

I put in a full house generator with Mohrmann in 2022 and the process went perfectly. They take care of everything and their pricing is fair and competitive. I wish they also did plumbing!

I contacted Generac Back in 2020 so they could recommend me a vendor to do the work. Generac had given me the information for Mohrmann Electric and I couldn’t have been happier with the way things went. I will put this out there that I am not the easiest person to work with as I like things done a certain way. After meeting with Dennis and Fred, and many questions answered, they came and performed the job as expected. Everything works s promised and we even had to use the generator already once during a blackout. It felt great to now we had a back up power source and it gives you a great piece of mind. I greatly enjoy the work they do I have even worked with them now again to do other electrical work in my house. The office staff are extremely courteous and are always willing to help. The entire setup of this business is extremely friendly and I am happy that Generac sent me their way.

Amazing vendor. Amazing people.

I had a generator put in by another vendor that Generac had recommended to me. This was done years ago before I knew of Mohrmann Electric. My son then had a generator put in and he was recommended to Mohrmann Electric. IT was at that time that I realized how poor of a job the previous vendor did. They did not apply for permits for the generator as I was told by the vendor I did not need a permit. They also never upgraded my gas meter or applied for a permit to that. I was also unaware that the original line drawn was way too small and needed that upgraded as well from the meter to the generator. It was only after seeing what Mohrmann Electric’s process was with my son that I realized how poor the original vendor was. I reached out to Mohrmann Electric to see if they could help right the wrong. They were extremely helpful and courteous. Everyone in the office from Fred and Dennis to Kathleen are super helpful. They not only handled helping me get the permit, they also helped me get a permit and upgrade for a new gas meter using their plumber JLM (who is also an excellent vendor). They also fixed the electric that was also not done correctly by the previous vendor. I can’t recommend Mohrmann Electric enough. Both me and my son now use them as our main electricians as well. They have fantastic industry knowledge and always know the answer to the problem. They are an extremely reputable shop, and I am very happy my son decided to get a generator and wound up using them.

Shady Dealer

I used Mohrmann Electric Company, Inc. about a year ago to diagnose and replace (2) two failed Generac 50-Amp Smart Management Module(s) (SMM) Model 7000. The dealers Son Dennis Mohrmann came to my home and stated that they were in the boiler room and it was too hot which caused them to fail. One of the (3) three units to date has never failed. When I called Dennis back in October 2022, he claimed the units should be moved to a cooler location and gave me a quote to do so. I called Generac to find out what the operating environment high temp parameter was and they told me 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The room has never registered a temp over 95 degrees, so they are well within the tested operating temperature range. Dennis refused to discuss this with Generac. I phoned another dealer who told me he regularly installs these SMM’s outdoors with the generator and they operate with no issues in direct sun in the heat of the summer. Mohrmann sent me a quote on 10/14/22 for $2,699 for the moving and replacement of the SMM’s, tune-up, battery replacement, CDMA upgrade of Mobile Link, 5-year extended warranty. Because I dared to question him about the SMM failure and opened a ticket with Generac about it, when I contacted him on 11/18/22 his reply was “It might be better to get someone else to do what you require. I think it is a little beyond what we do, Thank you”. So, he basically gave a quote and then told me they don’t do the work which I had been given a written quote by him to do. Not only would he not do the work he quoted me for on 10/14/22 he refuses to make good on his prior work which failed. We have several critical healthcare devices that we use in our home and clearly if you want a dealer who understands why people bother to install very expensive backup generators this is not a dealer you should use.

Mohrmann Electric installed my generator 2 years ago. They were an excellent choice. They provided professional, courteous and friendly service at a very fair price. The job site was left as clean as when it started and the generator works great. Lost power shortly after installation for about a week and I was the go to house in the neighborhood. I have used them for additional electrical work since then and I am still pleased with this company. I highly recommend them.
