I called twice made an appointment for repair and no one called or showed up.

Capable but very long lead times

Initially, I was pleased with my interactions with MGS but was a bit perturbed by a few things and ultimately had to change direction at the last minute which put me in a bind and caused me a lot of unneeded stress to find a new contractor on short-notice. MGS clearly has a lot of experience installing generators and they provided me with what was the most competitive bid at the time. However, I was facing a deadline to install by a certain date to claim an extended warranty promotion. The sales person quoted a lead time about 30 days out that was really pushing the deadline, but assured me they had a way to work around activation if needed so I wouldn't lose the promotion. I gave MGS the verbal approval. When the office called me to take deposit, I decided to re-validate the sales persons statement. Boy, am I glad I did. The office told me they did NOT have a workaround to ensure I got my unit activated by the deadline......and they quoted me a lead time for install that was 2 months out! I know it is hard to find quality people these days, but a 2 month lead time is crazy. MGS really needs to add resources to bring lead times down to something more reasonable like 2-4 weeks. I found another certified dealer by searching local Google reviews that got the job done in 2 weeks from quote to install and ended up being the best bid I received and did excellent work.

We are really pleased with the maintenance we received today on our generator. The tech was very knowledgeable, very thorough, and gave good advice on what to watch for. We had a serious problem with ants inside our generator which could use serious expensive damage unless eliminated quickly. He advised us what to do. He is a fine representative of the quality of service offered by Midwest Generator Solutions

The entire crew were pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely efficient. They obviously enjoy working as a team, and do their jobs well. They were on time, and at the end of the day, I understood the generator, felt comfortable with the operation of the unit, and know it is thoroughly tested and ready to support us.
