We had many logistical challenges with the placement of our generator due to Fairfax County code requirements. Mr. Uhr\u2019s recommendations and the ultimate solution for the generator placement outside and the gas lines inside the house were well thought out and much appreciated. With that solution, however, came additional challenges to include trenching and additional electrical and gas line work. As with the preparation of the concrete pad and the delivery and installation of the generator, all these tasks were performed flawlessly by the MAX Energy team. We were very pleased with the quality of the workmanship, professionalism, and downright friendliness of the team. Even though we were both working from home due to the pandemic, the team worked efficiently with minimal to no interruption while observing all appropriate COVID safety protocols. Mr. Uhr\u2019s seamless coordination of the many moving parts was simply impressive.

I have been meaning to write this recommendation for some time. As you know, we contracted with MAX Energy Systems to install a whole house generator. I contacted four contractors to obtain estimates. Of all the contractors, you were the most thorough in specifying the appropriate equipment for the project. Since I am a degreed Marine Engineer, I am particularly knowledgeable about power plant generation and the various options for load shedding. You were dead on with your calculations and recommendations.

I contracted for purchase and installation of a Generac 22kw Whole House Generator from MAX Energy Systems in early 2018. Bill Uhr was the single point of contact for every phase of the project from the requirements assessment to the final installation and system check out. Because I live in a flood plain, this project had some unique challenges, beginning with elevating the unit nearly six feet above ground level. Bill meticulously planned every facet of the design and worked closely with the electrician and installer to ensure minimum house structure invasiveness and maximum aesthetics.The installation was performed without a hitch and Bill provided very thorough instruction on its operation. Shortly thereafter, the newly installed system was put to the test during several significant back-to-back wind events when the entire neighborhood lost power. The Generac came online within seconds as advertised and powered the entire 3300 square foot home without load shedding. The power generation was flawless and is much quieter than I had anticipated. The weekly five minute automated self-test also provides significant peace of mind that the unit will function when you need it the most.Bill Uhr and the entire MAX Energy Systems team are perfectionists and real pros at what they do. Their attention to detail is impeccable and they deliver what they promise \u2013 I would not hesitate to use them again.

I truly appreciate the quality of the job you and your team did in installing our backup generator. The process was so easy and fast. You were extremely professional and knowledgeable about the business which gave me a great deal of confidence in giving you our business. I now have come to understand that installing a generator is extremely complex, but you and your team of professionals made the process simple for us...and the fact that you came by a couple of times to meet the various gas/ electrical inspectors when we couldn't be home was a big help. Your responsiveness and keeping us on schedule was terrific.When our neighbor called on a Sunday because she smelled gas and thought it was our generator and we were not at home, you did not hesitate to say you were on the way to check it out. MAX Energy did a great job!

MAX Energy did a great job on our 46kw home generator. They managed the subcontractors seamlessly, and worked overtime to keep on schedule when an unmarked sprinkler line slowed them down. The organization of the new panels and switches in our garage is great. All of this was accomplished with minimal impact to our daily schedules. We highly recommend them.
