Would Recommend, No longer a generac dealer

Called for an inspection of an existing system. They were very friendly, helpful, courteous, and professional. Sadly, they are no longer a generac dealer.

Excellent Company!

Whenever we have work done on our home, we always do our research to make sure that we get a qualified contractor. When we decided to install a home generator we wanted to find a contractor that was a generator contractor not an HVAC company that does generators on the side. We also wanted to make sure that whatever company installed our generator was able to do service and warranty work as well. When you look at the Generac dealers list and follow the aforementioned criteria you can quickly eliminate most of them. We narrowed our search to 3 companies and had each of them give us an in-home assessment and a price to provide what they felt would best suit our needs. Two of the companies sent out salesmen, that quite honestly did not even know what was in the box or how anything worked. Charles from Marathon Development was thorough, answered all our questions, and without a doubt was the most knowledgeable person on generators that I have spoken to. Once we signed the contract Jeannette coordinated the installation schedule with us, made arrangements with the power company, and obtained the necessary permits and inspections. On the day that we had our installation scheduled, the installers showed up when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves, and completed our job in a professional manner. Once finished they showed me how everything worked, they took the time to answer any questions that I had, and they made sure I was completely happy with the installation. A day or so later Jeannette followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction and to see if I had any additional questions. Talk about customer service!!! I cannot say enough positive things about this company. If you are in the market for a home generator you need to give these people a call.

great dealer, easy to work with

Charles initially came out and visited my home, explained all my options and gave me an overview of the generatorand provided a quote. He and his installer, Sam, came out to do the work and had it up and running within a day and a half. Explained all the features of this model and showed me how to manually check items. His wife, Jeanette, came by the 2nd day and helped move a sprinkler head that was in the way. All work was done in a professional manner and cleanup was an easy chore for them. I would recommend using this company to anyone looking to install a whole house generator. It was a pleasure working with everyone on their team

Extremely Knowledgeable

We took the time to get three quotes and researched the product thoroughly before purchasing. Charles is the only dealer to come out and take the time to discuss all of our options with us. He is a licensed electrician, not just a salesperson who was sent to close the deal. He was patient and answered all of our questions completely. He made sure we understood exactly what we were getting and how it would work. When we had additional questions before purchasing he spent time on the phone with us and never made us feel like we were bothering him. When it came time to install our generator, Charles showed up when scheduled and completed the job quickly. He and Sam were very professional, they cleaned up after themselves, and made sure we were completely happy with the installation job before leaving. Charles and Sam were polite and courteous with the power company guys and the building inspector. It was obvious both the power company and the inspector had a good working relationship with Charles. A couple of days after the install was complete we received a follow up call from the office manager, Jeannette. She wanted to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction and she was able to answer a couple of questions we had thought of since the installation was complete. Everyone we interacted with at Marathon Development was very professional and clearly put customer service as their number one priority.

Incredible Friendly Service!!!!

I wish I could give Charles and his wife a higher rating than the 5 star!!! From the beginning of the process until after everything was completed could not have been better. My 86 year old mom lives on the water in SC low-country. After the increase in hurricanes we deciced that it would be good to put in a heavy duty generator. The storm 2 years ago left her without power for a week. Charles came and inspected the property and told her all about the generator etc. Well as most 86 year old women she didn't really know all the things he was talking about. I contacted him since I am 2.5 hours away and hew was so glad I did because he wanted to be sure she understood everything. We felt great about our decision to move forward with it. Charles would contact me to keep me in the loop every time he talked to mom, they worked with the propane co. (which I would not give them a glowing review) in scheduling the installations and making sure everything was doe correctly and by the codes for the county. He kept me informed on every detail and apologized so many times for what they anticipated was going to be completed but was being held up by the propane company. Moms house has metal storm shutters and after she returned home from evacuation of Florence they were still closed. - Charles was there checking on something prior to the installation and he went around and unlocked them all and opened them up for her. He has just been tremendous and has gone way above and beyond in so many ways! I never worried about them working in the house when mom was and even wasn't there. Again I cant say enough positive things about them and highest level of service they provide. Its not always about the price or the product, but the team that is behind the installation and service. I would HIGHLY recommend them!!!!!
