Just buy from somebody else!

They do great electrical work and they have the best price, but their customer service is totally unacceptable. Installation takes much longer than quoted; they don't return phone calls and don't follow up on on issues. Avoid the headaches and just buy from somebody else.

Job well done

The men were great to work with. I watched them over 5 hours set up the generator outside and update my ciruitboard inside. They explained everything to me and were totally professional.Got my mobile linkup too.Highly recommended.

Just in time

We had our generator installed just in time of the ice storm 3 weeks ago. Our generator ran for 6 days and never missed a beat. We had our generator installed for our restaurant which we live above from. Needless to say we were very busy at work. We shopped around and decided to go with MacPhee and very glad we did.

Dangerous installation, unprofessional and not qualified

We went with MacPhee as they were listed as an Elite Dealer on Generac's website. At first I was impressed with Don's consultation and installation. His install of our 14kW generator turned out to be incorrect and dangerous. During hurricane Sandy last year, the generator ran fine for 50 hours, but our gas heat shut down. He ran too small a size gas line directly from the boiler. I had another installer inspect the install and we found numerous problems with the electrical and gas connections. MacPhee was extremely unresponsive until I contacted Generac directly. He came out to 'fix' the issues, only to redo them incorrectly. Don was unfriendly and condescending, ultimately leaving us with a dangerous and unreliable standby generator. We are left now to pay another installer to correct the improper install issues. I encourage those of you who have had your generator installed by MacPhee, to have another dealer inspect your set-up. It may appear to work correctly, but could fail or cause issues down the road. They are a dishonest, unqualified and unresponsive company. I am surprised that they are listed as one of Generac's 'ELITE' dealers. NO, I would not recommend this dealer.

I called McPhee for warranty service 4 times over an 8-10 day period. Each time they said they would call back, but they never did.

From start to Finish A+ Dealer

We were very pleased with the whole generator installation process with Don of MacPhee Electrical. He guided us through the sizing, site location and circuit selections with ease. He installed our system on the hottest day of the summer and coordinated the propane and inspections without a hitch. We missed the first use of the generator (a one hour outage), but were quite comfortable and pleased when we had generator power during Hurricane Sandy. We would highly recommend Don and his crew for your electrical needs.

I spent a lot of time interviewing Generac installers, their installation plans and costs. When I layed out where and how I wanted the generator installed McPhee had the 'can-do' attitude I was looking for. and his price was the best to boot! If I had a question I got someone on the line who answered it right away. The installation was started and finished on time as promised. The physical wiring was top notch, above and beyond expectations. I would never consider anyone else. I have them do my annual checkup and servicing. I'd rank MacPhee top shelf in every respect.

Poor Customer Service

This dealer had a large crew that performed all aspects of the installation- and overall did a good job. Unfortunately, they left without connecting all the agreed upon circuits- and despite agreeing to return - gave me the round-around about calling back to schedule. They also claimed they did not have the remote in stock (which was included in the quote), and would return with it- but they did not ( several weeks later "we are still waiting for the remote"; while one could buy it from any web site)- and finally never heard from them back. I would have rated this dealer much higher based on the experience with installation- if we did not face their unreliable customer service.

Outstanding Service

MacPhee Electric installed a 20KW generator for us and everything went great. They handled the permit process and even the gas hook up. It was a turn key operation. We haven't use it yet but I'm sure we will soon.
