Great at installationtry for2 years to get service and now won't even return call

Install was perfect but try to get service forget itCalled over two years and company is located within two miles.Unacceptable

I had them install my generator and when it needed a service, I could not get them to come out. It's been since last year. I called, and I was told that if there is an install in my area then they will do the service, if not, then I would be put on a schedule. That was well over a year ago. Now, I have a RED light for (Low Oil Pressure) and the only thing I get is an answering machine message when I call, that says they will get back to you and never do! If I only knew then what I know now!!!

I called Jim from Kiernan Contractors, who came by and checked out my needs for a back up generator. WIth covid-19 in full effect and supply issues almost a year later still in effect, Jim had several in stock and a deal was made. He arrived one day for a set up, 6x6 ground support with pea gravel. a couple weeks later, Jim did the install and I was pleased with his meticulous work inside and outside of my home. I had trenched my own gas line and Jim came back to get me up and running. The 22KW unit is slightly more then what I required but with supply issues what they are, there was NO wait and with last winter knocking at the door, it was an easy decision and the unit had operated flawlessly several times during the many snow/ice and wind storms in the North Country where power drops out at anytime. Overall, I am happy with my decision and Kiernans work.A very fair deal and Generac offered 1 year extra for warranty. Highly recommended!

Jim Kiernan, of Kiernan Contractors, installed our whole house generator. We could not have been happier with him! As a real estate Broker, I deal with many vendors and contractors. Average job setting up generator, no complaint there.First year free annual maintenance now 6 months overdue no show no call 2 times.My last call I was informed that I don't need to call again as I am on the list and he will get there in a couple weeks. Again no show.

Jim(owner) and his crew arrived promptly with my 20KW generator, bobcat, and all the requisite parts and fittings. The base frame of 6x6 treated lumber(already built) was placed, leveled, and filled with pea stone. The whole install went very smoothly and took about 4 hours. As soon as the LP was connected, Jim registered, activated, and tested the generator. I highly recommend Kiernan Contractors.

We recently had a standby generator installed and the whole process was flawless. They explained everything to us about it's operation, leaving us with a feeling of confidence that we made the right choice going with Kiernan Contractors. Their installation techs were very polite and respectful of our property.

11/24/14 I bought a 20 KW Generac generator from Kiernan Contractors for my home. They installed it on a pile of gravel they poured on the ground. The vibration of it running soon caused it to move the gravel outward so I had to build a wooden retainer to keep the gravel under the generator. During the first two years of ownership, they came and serviced it annually as they said they would. Now I have been trying to get them to come service it for around 6 months with no service date given, just excuses that when they have enough services in the area they will call me. Still no call and now the weather protective shelter I built for it is frozen into the ground and the unit can not be serviced till spring. Today they are not answering their phone at all and no message machine either.

my neighbor got a 20kw unit installed with the utmost professionalism, I had the same unit installed within two weeks.Kiernan installers were awesome. Without any reservations, they installed my backup unit in my first preferred location. Kiernan Contractors are reliable, professional and will exceed any buyers needs. My wife and I were impressed with his professionalism on the initial meeting. When he and his assistant arrived with the back-up generator, they went right to work setting up the gravel bed and moving the generator into place. Then they drilled through the basement wall and came inside to install the transfer panel. All work was done efficiently and with as little disruption of our household routine as possible. One hour after the electric service was cut, our entire house was running on generator power. What a feeling of security. The installation inside is beautifully done, as is the outdoor work. There isn't even more than one foot of cable visible from the generator to the house. This has been the best experience we have ever had with a contractor - absolutely BEAUTIFUL work.
