Avoid this dealer

I had a generac guardian 15 kw generator that had not run for 7 or 8 years. HTE cameout to service it and get it running. The first power outage after they serviced it, my transfer switch melted. They came out to investigate and after a week or so told me that generac generators have a know issue with oil in the generator clumping on the brushes after sitting for an extended amount of time. They then installed a new 10 kw system. I repeatedly asked them if the 10 kw system was sufficient to run my central air conditioning and was assured that it was. The first time power went out after having the new system installed, the generator fired up and restored power, but every time the A/C tried to start the generator shutdown. It would start up again a minute or so later, but shutdown again when the A/C tried to start back up. Home T exam Electric does NOT seem to be very knowledgeable about generator repairs, installation, or system requirements for handling specific loads. I CANNOT RECOMEND THIS DEALER. They are very friendly, but that's little consolation as I sit here in 117° heat and hi humidity with no A/C.
