Prompt response to my request for a generator upgrade estimate. Evaluated our needs and gave me a quick bid. Work was completed in a professional manner and the old generator was removed and placed where we requested. We have had two power outages since the installation and the generator has worked flawlessly. We are happy customers.

Heaton provided a detailed explanation of the system and advised how we could make some changes to avoid having to install a larger system. Our electrical system was thoroughly evaluated. Phone calls were promptly returned.

The dealer was very friendly, professional and took the time to answer all my questions about the Generac 26KW air cooled generator that I was having installed on my property. In addition, the dealer provided me with a detailed written agreement, so I knew exactly what I was getting in my home generator system.

There are a number of variables to getting a generator put into place, and Heaton assisted with all of my questions about installation of propane or natural gas, size of tank, etc. They coordinated well with others and answer phones, or quickly get back to you. In one case the generator was not engaging and with a call to Heaton I had it running in less than 10 minutes.

Heaton Electric installed our Generac whole house generator this spring. They did a great job, followed the schedule we agreed to, and were very neat. Installing a generator is a leap of faith. You don't really know if it will work until the electricity goes off. Well, ours went off this week along with everyone else's in Bigfork. There is no sound more reassuring than your generator cranking up, and no sight more welcome than your lights coming back on when everyone else is dark. Good job Heaton!!

Russ came to our house to see what we would need and explained how the generator works. We received the bid and we knew the Generac generator would not be available for several months, but the bid would still be honored. When the generator came in, Russ's team installed it. Pretty much hassle free.

I had solicited dealers for weeks without receiving a reply. After several weeks I finally was contacted by a representative of another firm. A survey of my home was conducted & I was told I could not place the generator near my gas source on the house due to a proximity of a window. I was told the generator would have to be located behind the house, many yards from the gas source, & I would have to purchase a 500 Gal above ground tank. It was then that I made contact with Heaton Electric in Kalispell. They checked our power usage for the year to insure I obtained the right size generator. They placed the generator near my gas source, did all the necessary electrical work and connected the gas source to the unit. I was extremely pleased with the service Heaton provided and I am confident I can rely on them in the future.

Russ Heaton came to my home and met with me initially to talk about what I was wanting to accomplish with the generator. He then provided a bid and kept me informed during the entire process. The generator works great and everything he told me about the process worked exactly like he said. I am not using them on other electrical needs and they are excellent to work with.

All our questions were answered and he helped us figure out the right size for our cabin. It took a while to get it installed (due to Covid slowing down Generac arrival). It was installed as soon as it arrived; there was one small glitch which was fixed the same day we called! We would highly recommend this company for their courtesy, professionalism, and friendly quick response. By the way, Generac worked perfectly when we lost electricity last month.

The installation and customer service were very good. We are quite pleased with the product and the customer service throughout. Because of shortages etc it took a few months to get the generator but they were on top of it through the whole process. Good experience. Would use them again.

We ordered our Generac Backup Generator in the fall and it arrived a few months later. Given the backlog, that was very good. The installer checked in to see that we were happy--and we were. We've had several occasions to use the generator already and the switch and generator are performing well. Highly recommend this business.

At my previous home I had a Generac whole house generator, so when I bought another house, I knew I wanted another Generac. I called Heaton Electric, and within a few days the owner, Russ Heaton, came out and looked at the site and explained in detail the placement and installation process. The installation crew was prompt, neat, and very helpful in explaining what they were doing. When the generator arrived, they had to use heavy equipment to put the generator in place. This involved driving the equipment over my lawn. They were very careful not to damage my lawn, and Russ Heaton was there supervising the placement. I have had the generator almost 2 years now, and it has worked flawlessly through several power outages. We needed to move our Mom to Bigfork Montana last October 2020 to take care of her through the COVID lockdown. Mom was on oxygen and had to have electricity to produce her requirements. We needed a generator that could power our whole home under any power requirement/condition.

Heaton Electric installed our first Generac at our main home in 2014. We were so pleased with the product and the installation, that we had another system installed at our cabin in 2021. Russ, in both instances took his time explaining the system and walked through the best placement for both the Generac and propane tank. Installation was absolutely perfect, everything happened as planned and on time with no mess left behind. These Generac's have been one of our best investments and Heaton Electric has always been trustworthy, professional and reliable.

Originally had a problem with a pinched wire inside the unit which caused an "over speed" alert. This problem was promply fixed.

Heaton installed our Generac about a year ago. We had a system when we lived in the midwest and were pleased with it. When we began to explore contractors in the Libby area, we had a mixed response, including a suggestion we order the material and they would install. Fortunately, we contacted Heaton, and Russ would not quote a system until he made a site visit...exactly the right answer. The result was a good match to our needs, and all the hardware we needed. The delivery was delayed like most anything these days, but Russ was forthright about the expected wait and then kept us posted. The installation went very smoothly; like clock work. We were thoroughly briefed on the system and have encountered no issues. We highly recommend Heaton, even if they are not in your backyard. He is extremely knowledgeable, but when the answer to the problem is alluding him, he doesn't hesitate to call engineering/support at Generac to fix the problem correctly the first time.

Hard to find someone to service a generator when you live 90 miles from the nearest large city. The folks at Heaton Electric actually had a schedule for our county. They scheduled us and showed up as promised, serviced the generator and were able to connect our shop to the system. They even called ahead to get pertinent information to make sure their tech had everything needed to complete the job. He and his crew showed up on time for installation, did a neat and thorough job and even scheduled the service from the gas company to hook fuel to generator. They showed up the day after the gas company completed their work to finalize their installation and walk me through the process. We own a 20 Kw Generac generator and live over 100 miles from Heaton Electric's office. However, scheduling service is an easy telephone call. We are given a date and time range for our service. On that date and approximate time, the service technician arrives and completes the service. The technician has always been professional and ensures the necessary maintenance is completed. Prior to departing a complete checkup of the system is performed. The workmanship of Heaton Electric speaks highly of the professionalism of their business.
