Nightmare

What a nightmare dealing with this company. Will have to find a different company for maintenance. Definitely disappointed in them. We bought from a big box store. We had no idea that this store didn\u2019t even know who would be installing it. Corporate does all the scheduling now. Bought in September and since it didn\u2019t get installed until late January we lost the extra 5 year warranty. Total rip off.

Terrible Customer Service

I called and was told they would be out the next day or the following business day. They never showed up and never called to reschedule. I have called and left two additional messages requesting a call or service, as of writing this I am still waiting. Do Not Call.

Still waiting for install completion after a year

August 2017 was convinced to upgrade from 16kw Generac to 22kw whole house unit that would handle house and external shop. Have now had a 50 ft long, 2 ft deep trench open for over a year. Every time we go to ask when he will finish install - we get an "I don't know." Heart of Fl. is a Lowes installer as well as a comm'l elec contractor. We recommended Generac to 2 neighbors who purchases 22s as well. We would never recommend this service to anyone

Poor Customer Contact Skills. Unreliable

In April of 2018 I scheduled an in-home appointment with Wally from Heart of Electric as well as Brandon from Lowes. We were purchasing the Generac 22K Whole Home Stand-by Generator from Lowes who happens to use Wally (Heart of Florida Electric) as their Electrical Contractor. Both people appeared to be professional & on-time. That's where the distinction ended with Wally. While Brandon from Lowes was excellent with communication, Wally never returned calls/emails. We received an estimate for $7900 from Lowes and signed the Contract. The Generator would be delivered on May 29th and Wally (Heart of Florida Electric) would install it on the 30th. Due to heavy rains, Wally had to postpone the work...totally understandable. What wasn't understandable was the fact that he completed ignored me after that. He completely ignored my phone calls & emails.I had to get Brandon from Lowes to chase him down and give us a date on the calendar for him to come & set the Generac. Keep in mind, the Generac had sat in our carport (on a pallet) for two weeks! Brandon got Wally to finally schedule us in on June 12th. The process took 6-7 hours to set the Generac & run the electric. His crew did an outstanding job. Very clean, very professional. I've have to give him credit for at least that. His crew did a really good job and were on time. Alternative Gas in Winter Haven did a fantastic job on the final gas connection from Meter to Generac. The unit passed the town inspection on August 28, 2018. The final step would be Wally to bring the battery and do the start up. We made an appointment for Friday, August 31st with Wally from 12-4. At 4:45, I called, messaged & emailed to ask where he was? No answer. He either forgot our appointment, or never bothered to actually 'pencil' it in on his calendar. That is no way to run any business, and it's certainly no way to treat your customers. Very unprofessional.We have reached out to Brandon from Lowes to ask his help in resolving this.Unlike his business associate, Brandon is actually very professional.It's been more than four months since we signed the contract for this Generac, and the saga continues. I thought at most this would take 6 weeks to complete. That's even with adding in a new Natural gas line and setting a Meter in the backyard. Was I ever wrong.We've made almost five payments on this unit and we're still waiting to see if it actually works. Eventually we will see a woking Generac on the Generac Tour. Right??At this time, I am currently researching other Generac Dealers on this Site (Generac) to determine if they would be more reliable to meet our service needs in the future.I expect a professional in the field to be professional & on-time. I am not going to trust my power needs to someone who appears to be un-reliable.My time isn't any less valuable than some business owner who choses to ignore his customers.I expect a business owner to be more professional.
