First time generator purchase

We built a new home in an area that was subject to power outages. We called Guerin to get a quote and the owner discussed at length the options, feasibility, process and costs. We got quotes. We deferred till this spring and decided to go for a whole house generator. Price was pretty much unchanged. Order made, date set, instructions on dealing with National Grid for new meter discussed. Very professional installation, lots of information to understand they were very nice. They connected it to wifi and helped with the app. All is good, the only thing that happened after installation was the electric smoke detectors started going off. Called Guerin. They were at house in 15 minutes. Inspected everything. Figured out the problem, Was not a generac issue. Would recommend Guerin for knowledge, professionalism and being a local company easy to reach with any questions. No call center to deal with.

They were responsive to our inquires, provided a schedule of work which was strictly followed and installed an emergency generator as requested in timely fashion. I am well versed in Electricity in my work career to include a stint in High Voltage Electric Distribution..I may not be up to date on the latest codes but fully informed on the subject.. Picking a contractor, I just sat back and let them educate me.. Several presentations were amateurish laughable.. Example, some never even touched on the solar panels on our roof and their requirements.. Guerin/Bob Fendrick hit every point I was looking for and easily/quickly answered every question I had.. I was sold on / CONFIDENT Guerin was going to provide everything needed up front with no last minute afterthoughts/cost additions. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THEM!

An absolutely great experience

Guerin Generator Services installed our whole house generator last week and the experience could not have been better. They installed it on the date they had promised when we signed the contract, and the job was completed very quickly with a minimum of interruption to our household. The installation crew was great, kept us informed throughout the install, and gave us a very thorough overview of the generator before leaving.We selected Guerin after receiving 3 proposals; theirs was the lowest cost, and with the most amenities. Their final invoice was for the amount they initially quoted; there were no hidden costs.Believe it or not, we had our first power outage last evening. The lights went out and 5 seconds later the whole house was fully operational, including 3 window air conditioners,cable TV, and my wife's essential medical treatment equipment.We can't thank Guerin enough for a job well done, and the feeling of being secure from power outages! We absolutely recommend Guerin to anyone considering a GENERAC generator.
