GENX GENERATOR

We went with GenX Generator on the recommendation of a friend/neighbor who also purchased through GenX Generator, as have several other housrholds in our neighborhood. What I like most is that they know the process thoroughly, from sizing our unit, obtaining permits, and installing. It gives us great confidence we will have a excellent relationship for service and maintenance. While we hope never to need it, having backup power is very comforting.

Highland Park Electric gave good info, installed as expected, & I will use them for annual maintenance, etc.

Everyone that came for generator installation was great. Would highly recommend Genx Generator.

We hired GenX (of Highland Park Electric) in Highland Park to install our whole house generator. They did an excellent job: from coming out to see what needed to be done to recommending what would work best for our needs, to installing, and then servicing our generator. They were responsive to our questions and kept in contact with us throughout the process (scheduling the installation, changing the date of installation due to OUR needs, etc). I am more than pleased with their service, communication, and professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting a generator installed at their home.

Good equipment and very professional installation at reasonable price. Has not responded to emailed follow-up question on related electrical work, however.

GENX Generator was on time, and with the team of people they had onsite, they had completed everything by 4:00PM. They were very clean and efficient. After everything was installed, they gave me a very thorough walk through of everything. Highly recommended.

They arrive on time with a very friendly crewWe have a100 years old house with a very updated electric panel and they installed a generator in a day, as planned. They were very good at understanding and finding the lines to be connected and were very patient with my family needs at the time of cutting power and internet. Just had a 22kw Guardian whole house generator installed by Genx. The team was great, they had everything under control and successfully ran new natural gas pipe in the crawlspace over to the outside of the house where the generator was going to sit. At the same time, the master electrician was installing the transfer switch on the outside of the house and running conduit to the generator. Everything came together and worked like a charm the first time. The project manager went over all of the pieces of the project and how to use the generator itself. Now waiting on final approval of the permit and installation of shedders on 2 of my air conditioners. i cannot thank Genx enough for the great service.

Everything went well except I still am not got WiFI.

Promptness was good. Service was good. WY-FI use and installation is very unclear and is still not resolved. It will have to be clarified and taken care of, maybe at time when inspector is here. Thank you.

From the time the rep came out to provide a quote to the time the installation was complete we could not have been dealing with a more well-run, functional, trustworthy outfit. After the installation was completed we had a problem with getting our gas reconnected. Granted, we have radiant heat and a complicated system but I would have hoped and expected that if they weren't sure of what to do they would have asked for help from an expert, one of our HVAC workers.

They were very professional and finished on a timely basis. I would highly recommend them to put in a General generator.

The entire process was great. The sales call explained the process and product. Options were reviewed. Install team was friendly and seemed very professional. They explained how the unit worked after install was completed. The next day I needed a service call. The service tech arrived quickly and resolved the issue although another visit will be needed to complete the service.

From the time i requested a quote for a back up generator to the time it was installed I was impressed with the people I dealt with.The installation team was excellent!

It was a pleasure working with this company. From the office staff to the installation staff. The installation guys explained everything in detail and answered all our questions.

I've done regular maintenance for the backup generator with GENX. The technicians are experienced and provide great service but the office is not very professional and doesn't care about the customer.The day after a storm, my generator wasn't starting. Called and requested a technician, who thankfully arrived within a few hours. It literally took him five (5) minutes to restart the generator. Needless to say the next week I received a bill charging for a full hour of service. I called the office several times but they didn't care about me as a customer. Will definitely call someone else next time.

They did a terrific job. Very thorough and professional and so far it is working perfectly.

Administrative side of the business was a little frustrating- lack of communication, non responsiveness and overall, a really long process. However, the professionals I met during the assessment and installation were definitely the best in the business. 4 star only for the chaotic front desk. 10 stars for the execution!

Great team that arrived on time and walked us through every step of the process. My home required two full days of installation but never an inconvenience. The GenX team is highly qualified with Generac generators and a homes electrical system. I am very pleased with the installation and customer service after the visit. House was left as clean as when they arrived. Amy is excellent in the office explaining every step that will take place. This company walks the talk and does exactly what they say they will do. I would not consider anyone else-these are the guys for the job when installing a backup generator on the North Shore of Chicago!

As an electrical engineer, I am extremely critical and demanding when it comes to any type of electrical installation. The GenX crew exceeded my expectations. They showed up exactly on time and actually completed the project a couple hours early. Their work was neat, and professional. Beyond the electrical installation, which was textbook, they took great care to maintain my property. As a necessary part of the installation, there is was some disruption of the landscaping. By the time they left, it was restored to a point that you couldn\u2019t tell that it had ever been disturbed. The only evidence that they had been here was a shiny new generator. Absolute top-notch work that I would recommend to anyone needing a generator.

From start to finish every contact was timely and professional. My rep spent alot of time helping me decide the best location for the unit without damaging any of my gardens or disturbing me or my neighbors.The rep came with the installers and went over everything with them including all my concerns before he left.While the installers were there they were very careful not to damage any of my plantings.When they left, there was no trace they had been there, they were that careful.The unit has ran flawlessly since they have installed it and the location they chose was perfect.All in all it was a stress free experience and I know from an experience with another company, that is not always the case.I am using their services for a maintenance agreement on my work generator. The company called to let me know the tech was on his way, he arrived on time, performed the service, and left the area as clean as he found it.A really superior company to do business with and a top notch product.

I've relied on GenX for eight years or so and am now on my second Generac unit. The generators have become more reliable over the years, but GenX has been reliable the whole time and I'd recommend them without reservation. They really do care whether my backup power system gives me peace of mind.

I researched the product and this dealer extensively and took a long time to decide on making a commitment. Ultimately I made the right choice. Our installation was complicated, however, the GenX team did exactly as promised. They got things approved by the village and performed the installation in a professional manner. They promised to support me afterwards and are still helping me solve a defect by the original home builder and their electrical sub. This team is very good and I will highly recommend them.

My wife and I are attached to a notoriously poor Com Ed circuit. Ten days after installing our generator we suffered the third power outage of the winter. Within seconds the generator clicked on.

GenX responded quickly and made the entire process easy. The men who came out were friendly and clearly experts at their job. Our generator has been tested already and works great! They dealt with the Village and even gave me suggestions for how to create a small structure around it so that it would be easy for them to access it for check ups or repairs. Highly recommend them!

Initial meeting was extremely informative, proposal was crystal clear, instructions for my responsibility's were spot on (all I had to do was contact gas company for new meter-simple), your gas line boring crew was great an caring about landscape and went very smoothly, installation crew for the generator were extremely knowledgeable and efficient, clean up from all left areas great. The installation team was excellent. They were not able to install the generator where the salesman indicated, but worked with us to find a better location and discounted the additional material and labor to complete the installation. They were experienced, professional, polite and cleaned up after the installation. I would recommend GenX to my friends.

Gen-X is a totally profesional organization both in installation and scheduled maintainance of home generators. I would rate them as exceptional.

Out of frustration I contacted Generac directly via their web site. Three contractors were just too busy, it seems, to follow through on their commitment to setting an appointment for service.

It took three phone calls to get this company to respond and when they finally did come out their quote was the most expensive and the guy didn't even seem to care he was here. This is why I don't like buying products from companies that have got employees like this. If this attitude is the attitude they all have I'm sure no one appreciates their job.
