Terrible service

Growth has decimated this company. Used to have decent customer service but not now. Look elsewhere for a company that knows how to schedule maintenance and will show up when they say they will. It won't happen with these guys.

Terrible

I prepaid a two-year Maintenance Contract for $990 and the company has provided zero services under the contract and laughed at me when I produced receipts of the payment and told me over the phone “go ahead and sue us. We don’t care.”

Refuse to honor PRE-paid

Why does GENERAC still have list this company as an authorized service dealer? They have an F Rating on Greater Houston Better Business Bureau— cuz they do NOT RESPOND TO any customer complaints. I paid $15+K to them for generator install I PRE-paid them $990 for TWO YEARS OR PRE-paid maintenance and monitoring— which they refuse to honor! They have provided ZERO MAINTENANCE that I PRE-paid They REFUSE TO PROVIDE IT- so I ASKED FOR REFUND THEY LAUGHED and SAID “NO- and GO AHEAD AND SUE US!” I provided them copies of the receipts (which they already have). Proof of purchase is NOT the issue PRE-selling MAINT is BIG $$ for them — cuz they don’t honor their obligation THEY SHOULD NOT BE “Authorized Dealer”! No ethics

Rude service

Tried to get my generator serviced with this new company but the customer service was very poor, rude and not helpful.

NO RESPONSIVE TO CUSTOMER

I have been calling Generator Industries for 11 Days to service my unit. It is now Inoperable and i have received NO call backs. They are non-responsive.

Cris F came to provide service to our generator today and he is fantastic! He was professional, polite, and knowledgeable. He provided clear instructions, advise and worked proficiently. Thank you Cris for your wonderful work! p.s. Give this man a raise/bonus (monetary vs just saying great work Cris ;)

Terrible Service, don't believe them

I declined starting a new service agreement with Generator Industries. Generator Industries services has been abysmal. This assessment has been earned beginning with the installation process. I was originally quoted a 10-12 week overall installed schedule. Competitors were quoting 6-month delivery for the generator alone. They said that their advantage in schedule was due to preordering generators. I took the bait and bought the schedule. At the time of order, in a confirmed email they changed the overall installed schedule to 12-14 weeks. This was not a problem as you received my down payment 04/15/2021 putting completion by 07/22/2021 ahead of peak hurricane season. They didn’t come close to their commitment. My calls and expediting did not help. Hurricane Nicholas brushed our area 09/13/2021 knocking out power in Galveston. The gas meter finally got installed when I, not them, arranged for it with the gas company. The generator was commissioned 09/22/2021, 22.9 weeks from our start date vs the 14 weeks sold to me. In the price I have paid, they charged extra for an elevated installation. However, 3 of 4 times their personnel came to my house, they did not have a ladder. The first being in the setting of the generator on the platform. They had a crane, but no ladder to allow personnel to safely climb to the platform. Instead, before I knew what was happening, personnel jumped from my elevated deck to the generator platform. Next visit was for commissioning. I had to secure a ladder for the service rep. Again, for the first servicing I had to secure a ladder for the service rep. The service reps did arrive with an extension ladder for second servicing. Their scheduling for servicing has been at best poor requiring constant expediting on my part. They did not show up for the first scheduled servicing. I had to spend time rescheduling and being available. For the second servicing, they called for a next day servicing. I was out of the country. They did not follow-up for rescheduling. I had to do so. Again, they no showed requiring a second scheduling. The only thing they have done as they said is issue invoices and demand punctual payment before they left the property or before next steps would be taken. I complied. I suppose they would say that my experience is not indicative of Generator Industries typical performance. I don’t know. All I know is how they have performed for me. With that experience, I have no choice but to look and go with what I hope to be a better service provider.

Dealer was good until Generator stopped working

I bought a Generac whole house generator from this dealer because of the 5 star review on Generac website. Installation was fine, every thing was fine, until I actually needed the generator. Power went off during Nicholas, generator kicked in then stopped working during the night. Called Generator Industries who promised to send a technician to fix the problem. To date no one has come to fix the problem and Generator Industries is not answering their phone. I am 84 years old and need power. Thankfully electric power was restored because Generator Industries never showed up even though I bought an extended warranty from them. I definitely do not recommend this dealer at this time.

They were no-shows

Set up an appointment for a rep to come out and give an estimate for a generator. They never showed up and never called to say why they didn’t. A week later I called back to set up another appointment. The person on the phone said she would have a sales rep return my call. As you might guess, I received no return call.
