Generator Authority

Great Company!

I had a wonderful experience with Generator Authority. I had a 26kW installed and everyone was incredibly friendly and informative. The installation was completed quickly and with very little interruption to our life. Thank you Generator Authority!

Wow, I’m blown away!

I’m gobsmacked at how pleased I am with my generator install! Of all of the quotes we received, Wes was the only person that took the time to do a load test on our whole home (I am familiar with electrical, and I can say it was thorough). As a result, we knew what we needed and Generator Authority took care of everything from there. The day of the installation, the service professionals were on time, did a beautifully clean installation, were very knowledgeable, exceptionally friendly, and overall a pleasure to have around. I’ll be looking forward to their ongoing generator service given how happy I am so far. Thanks for a great experience!!

Great experience

Great experience working with Generator Authority to purchase and install a Generac 24 kW home standby generator with 200-amp auto transfer switch. This company has great people and treat their customers very well. From the owner Wes, office manager Sonia, electrician Roy and mechanic Joey this company made an outstanding impression on me, and I highly recommend them. On 11/08/22 I met with Wes, the business owner, at my home to discuss adding a standby generator. Wes reviewed my site, circuits, and needs, and recommended a generator size to power the whole home during outages. I had several questions prior to the meeting which Wes anticipated and answered above and beyond my expectations. He recommended gas supply and electric routing to minimize cost. Wes is a very down to earth likeable guy who really knows his business. This gave me great confidence in choosing Generator Authority to make this project successful. I was provided with an estimate within an hour of our meeting and signed the contract with down payment the next day. Contract states it could take more than 16 weeks to get the generator installed, but Wes told me that he would make an effort to do my job quicker if another job got cancelled. On 11/29/22 I received a call from Sonia stating that they had a cancellation, and the generator could be installed tomorrow – 3 weeks after signing the contract and way ahead of schedule! I understand that this incredibly quick timeline is not normal, and I was prepared to wait the 3+ months that was stated in the agreement. They obtained City of Ft. Worth electrical, and plumbing permits the same day. The electrician (Roy and son) showed up with new generator early on 11/30/22. Roy and his son were very professional and a pleasure to work with. They consulted with me regarding the generator placement and cable routing through the attic. They placed pea gravel over the existing limestone base and did some leveling before and after setting the precast concrete pad and generator. They ran the cable from the generator in conduit along the brick wall until they reached an area where they could go into the attic and route cable back out the attic to a new transfer switch. The conduit runs were neat and the penetrations to the attic soffit were sealed with caulk. They replaced the existing emergency shut off switch outside the garage with the new Generac 200-amp auto transfer switch. Wiring the new transfer switch required a 2–3-hour outage, after which power was restored with no issues. The transfer switch assembly was very neatly done. Roy did a great job with high quality work and left the job site clean before leaving. On 12/05/22 I had just returned home from work when I got a call from Generator Authority telling me that the plumber and startup mechanic had a job nearby and had just arrived at my home to plumb the natural gas line and startup the generator. This was perfectly blessed timing for me as I had just arrived home. Joey and Michael discussed the gas line route with me and were very professional and easy to work with. The quality of their plumbing work was outstanding, and they even performed a minor fix to an existing pipe that was not per code. They demonstrated the generator operation to me by simulating an electrical utility outage and everything worked perfectly. All my questions were answered, and they cleaned up the site before leaving.

Never use again, Ever

tune up charged me $593.00 for 2 Oil filter, spark plug, oil & tighten a hose clamp. Last year same service Plus a new starter motor &a steel braided Propane hose for $472.00 They grudgingly reduced $593.00 down to $275.00. are you kidding me , still $275.00For a tune up

Impressive!

After the winter storm of February 2021, DFW area, I decided to get a standby generator. Generator Authority, Azle, TX was both skilled and well versed on sales and installation. Wes, the owner, made sure that I was well taken care of and personally came out for the startup and initial training on the Generator. All his employees were very experienced, knowledgeable and excellent in their field. Highly recommend.

Excellent Product, installation and service

Just so you know, my Generac worked flawlessly during all the Power Outages and Rolling Backouts this past week. It worked just as advertised. The Generac ran for close to 39 hours total off and on. I was the only house on the block with power and heat, and for that, I am grateful. No frozen pipes etc. Not to mention me. Now all the Plumbers are showing up in the neighborhood for those with thawing busted pipes. Thanks again for the professional installation and reliable product.

Generator Experts

Generator Authority helped us navigate the difficult tasks of proper sizing, estimates, permits and working with other contractors to make this a smooth installation process. I cannot imagine trying to do an installation of this level of complexity without the assistance of people who have been there/done that as it relates to installing a generator. The team is friendly, professional and keeps you updated throughout all phases of the project.
