A friend of mine recommended FD Hayes to me because he had purchased a generator through them a year or so ago. He said they were the best in town and boy was he right. Patrick came to my house and went over every detail with me so I knew exactly what my options were. The Generator delivery guys knew exactly what they were doing when they put in the cement base and set the generator. The install guys came a few days later and they were outstanding. They treated my home as if was their own. They delayed lunch and kept working to get my heat / power back on. The installation went flawlessly. What a great bunch of guys!!If your thinking about a Generac. Call these guys! Nobody will do better because these guys are the top tier.

My wife and I purchased a 16 kW Generac standby generator from F. D. Hayes Electric, and found the company to be exceptional in every way. Pat Sprunger represents the company well, and the workmen are exceptional. Pat laid out the installation plan in detail and guided us through the gas-meter upgrade process, which was completed by Consumers Energy. Every part of the plan unfolded as Pat described. The whole job took roughly what amounted to a full day, spread over two days\u2014placement of the generator on one morning, and gas and electrical hookups a few days later. Five days before the installation was completed, we had a six-hour power outage, just enough to remind us how important it is to minimize power interruptions. Our experience with Hayes employees has removed the anxiety associated with power outages. Besides that, we\u2019ve found our go-to company when we need electrical services in the future.

I recently converted my house from LP to natural gas. I needed my Generac stand by generator converted as well. I contacted another local technician who came out and was unable to perform the conversion and recommended that I buy a new generator. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and contacted F.D Hayes Electric. Patrick came out the next business day and instantly noticed that the regulator on the generator was still configured to LP. He made the conversion, adjusted the valves, changed the spark plug, performed an oil change and he also hooked my furnace into the stand by generator so I'd have heat when the power went out. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Patrick and F.D Hayes. I'm so glad I made the call. It saved me thousands of dollars.

Hayes installed our Generac generator today and everything went well.In fact the whole process from Pat visiting us and surveying our situation to Kathy taking care of the payment and scheduling, to the delivery and installation was flawless.I researched many companies before inviting F. The service I've received from Hayes has always been good but my last experience was exceptional. The tech (Pat S.) took my call on his personal cell phone while vacationing out of state and helped me work through a temporary fix when my generator failed to shut off after a power outage was restored.

I am writing to say how pleased my wife and I are with the generator service that we received from F.D. Hayes Electric Company. Our generator had malfunctioned about the same time it was due for preventative maintenance. Upon finding F.D. Hayes on the Generac website, I called for an appointment. Pat arrived right on time and serviced the generator, but noticed a problem. After careful inspection of the unit, he found a major issue with the stator/rotor. Pat was friendly, knowledgeable, honest and also worked with Generac to resolve the warranty problem. In addition, Kathy, Tammy, and Megan, from the office staff, were tops as well.

F.D. Hayes recently installed a 20 kW Generac generator for us. Pat S. was our marketing person and did an excellent job presenting the product and explaining to us exactly what we could expect it to do. The installation was done by Jeff M. and went extremely well. He arrived on time and placed the generator precisely where we wanted it located. During the installation process every question was answered to my satisfaction, and when the installation was complete, he went to great length to demonstrate all the operating procedures. This project has been a wonderful experience for us!

We have used F. D. Hayes Electric for several major service jobs over the years, so it was not very hard to choose them to install our 14 KW Generac standby generator. I had concerns about the initial site their representative had recommended for the installation. It had been under 18 inches of snow when he came the first time, so the Hayes supervisor came out after the Spring thaw to see my concerns. We decided to move the installation site to a spot much nearer to the natural gas supply, and also more accessible for service. While this was the best location, it was also a little low in terms of possible flooding in an extreme rain. I designed a base perimeter of pressure treated timbers that could be filled with crushed stone, and Hayes executed my plans to perfection. This elevated the generator above any expected water level. The technicians were excellent and listened to my suggestions and preferences as a homeowner. The plumbing contractor was an artist in my opinion. I have studied the Generac installation manual, and F. D. Hayes followed it expertly. Both the electrical and the mechanical inspectors were very pleased, and our new standby generator works fine!

Hayes Electric did the electrical and Meyers Plumbing and Heating did the gas piping. I have overseen several multi-million dollar projects and was impressed with these two contracters. I would definitely use again or reccomend to others. These contractors have places of business in Lansing, Michigan.

Pat came and explained everything extremely well. Gave us the info we needed to make an informed decision and set us up. Under the shadow of the worst ice storm of the century the company sent Chuck to do the install. He coordinated effectively with the propane people and got us up and running in no time. We are nothing but pleased with FD Hayes from start to finish. Highly recommended to anyone needing electrical work.

6 months after having my Generator installed by a different contractor, I had an error message on my generator. I called the company who installed it and they sent a guy out who had little knowledge of my generator and was uncertified by the factory to make warranty repairs. I called Generac for the name of a local qualified dealer and they recommended FD Hayes.The technician that came out was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. He had my replacement parts on his truck and made the repair in short time. Now they service my generator annually.I would highly recommend FD Hayes to anyone needing service.
