Nonresponsive Customer Service, Unable to Fix Problems.

Mr Gaines has serviced our generator multiple times but it still does not work despite his promises that it does work. He does not return phone calls- it requires weeks worth of calls to even have him call back. He says he is coming and then does not arrive to service the machine. We have even asked him to simply tell us if the repair is beyond is his expertise and he does not respond to our calls. We have paid him generously for his work but have nothing to show for it. We would have given him zero stars for his work if that was possible. He is not recommended.

Lost without any idea how to fix problem!

Very unresponsive and unprofessional. Doesn't know how to fix the problem. Generator has not worked since June. He came out in June and told me I needed a new engine. Problem was that the engine would run during the test cycle for about 10-15 seconds and then cut out and die. He ordered a new motor that took 2 months to receive. He made no attempt at diagnosing and repairing the existing motor.(ran great before this recent development of cutting out). I instructed him before he dismantled the generator that my orders were to first diagnose the problem with the engine to see if it was something that could simply be addressed. He did not follow my request. He took a lazy mans approach and just replaced it with the new motor that he had gotten. In the process of removing the motor, he broke the cooling fan trying to pry it off. After he futzed around for several hours taking the whole thing apart, he put in the new motor. When he started the motor,it did exactly what the motor that he took out did. It ran for 10-15 seconds and then cut out. It repeatedly did the same thing. Ran for 10-15 seconds and then cut out. Finally he gave up and left. My conclusion based on the evidence is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the motor that he removed(it ran the same as the new one he put in). He told me before he left that he would be back(that was in August) with a fan replacement for the one he had broke, and that he would complete repairs. I have not seen or heard from him since. He will NOT return my calls. It is November 14th today. We have had a hurricane and lost power for 4 days. Winter is almost upon us,and I still don't have back-up power. My wife and I are elderly,and I am not well. Eric does not do what he says he is going to do,and has left us in the cold!!
