Horrible service

I scheduled an appointment for these people to service my Generac XG10000E generator because it stalls out after a minute and won’t restart. They gave me a ridiculous 8am–5pm window, but fine — I took an entire vacation day to sit here and wait. At 11:45, some clown from Ellington finally calls and asks whether my generator is whole‑house or portable. I tell him it’s portable. His response? “Oh, we can’t work on that — we’re not licensed to work on those.” The worst part is that I put the model number in the comments box on the website when I booked the appointment online!!! So let’s be clear: They waited until midday on the actual appointment to inform me they were never capable of doing the job in the first place. No courtesy call. No heads‑up. No professionalism. Just a last‑minute “oops, not our problem.” I wasted an entire day of PTO because this company can’t be bothered to check basic information before booking an appointment. Absolutely pathetic. We were considering hiring them for AC work too — not anymore. After this fiasco, I wouldn’t trust them to service a box fan, let alone anything mechanical. If this is their idea of customer service, avoid them like the plague. Thanks for NOTHING!
