Arrogant and Condescenting Attitude

We have twice approached Electric & Magneto about repair or maintenance work on a residential Generac home generator at our home in Williston, ND. In each case, we were told that since they didn't sell us the Generac generator we have, that they would only come out at their convenience, if at all. The staff, from the person answering the phone, to the repairman, all acted as if we were second class owners of Generac equipment, and not worthy of their time or attention. In an attempt to find another source for repair, we contacted another Generac sales outlet in Williston, ND, and found that they didn't provide service work. Unfortunately, they recommended Electric & Magneto for repair, to which I provided details of our recent experience we had with Electric & Magneto repairing Generac generators not sold by them. The owner of that establishment was shocked to hear this, and equally concerned, as his products would also be subjected to this discrimination. Keep in mind, that this is Williston, ND, where winter temperatures can get as low as -40F in the winter, and a standby generator can be a lifesaver in the event power is lost for an extended period during a winter storm. This Generac approved service provider, Electric & Magneto, is not living up to the good reputation and quality of the Generac product. Furthermore, they are leveraging their repair service monopoly against other Generac product vendors in the area. I find this despicable, and intend to not stop until this practice is stopped, or another service vendor is available in this area. I provide consulting services to a large number of oil and gas industry related companies in the area, a huge potential market for the Generac products, and intend to leverage that to achieve my end, as it is not in the best interest of my clients to be held hostage by Electric & Magneto.
