Graciously agreed to service a generator they did not install. Came promptly, fixed the problem, no charge under warranty. I would not hesitate to use them again.

This is the 3rd year I\u2019ve used CT Home Generators forum annual generator check-up. Much better service by both Roger this year and Allan the 2 previous years than I was getting from a local firm in the last year I used them.

We wanted to buy a generator for our Mom that lives in W. Hartford, we live on the W. Coast. Initial contact was what sold us, I felt comfortable with Bruce, his process, time spent on the phone and initial appointment with our Mom.The generator has been installed, our Mom loved the crew and she feels safe now in an emergency!Thank you for taking the time to deal with a long distance buyer.

These guys are the best. They are there 24/7. I always have them service my unit and just had them come out in sub zero temperatures. With this recent cold snap i had them install a cold weather kit, which works excellent. I called them in the morning and they were here the same afternoon. I give their guys credit for braving below zero temperatures to service my unit. Great company, excellent tech's and always there for their customers.

After being a customer since 2011 and countless jobs....I needed service on my generator during an outage because of my sub pump....well I was left to get soaked!!!

The installation of my 10Kw stand by Generac generator was just completed today. The entire project was coordinated by Newington Electric of CT. From introduction of your products and options by Mr. Bruce Smedick, to the seamless completion by a team of highly qualified professionals who put the needs of the customer first, it was a stress free and pleasant experience. I was particularly pleased with the fact they always made themselves available to answer any questions or concerns. I could not be more pleased or grateful that I went with Newington Electric.

Original install date for full house generator was end of January (the latest) - which is why we selected them. The install was delayed, and as you might of quessed we lost power. The generator was delivered and set in place, and the propane tanks were installed shortly after. The new hook-up date (electirical) was set for Wednesday (after the propone tanks were in place). However, the propane tanks were installed 2 days early (Monday) so I called them to inform them and they changed my hook-up date to Monday/Tuesday the following week. This is after the big storm comming Friday. I am in a area that is prone to outages, they know it. If I cannot rely on them for the install, how could I rely on them if I have an issue down the road. This company is not there when you need them, at least they were not when I needed them.

From my first phone inquiry, the staff was very helpful in explaining the equipment and requirements. No pressure sales. The installer did a better job than I had expected of fitting the wiring into the finished basement. Great job overall.

Ben and Joe did an excellent job installing my Generac. They were very knowledgeable and answered my many questions throughout the installation. They were very professional and courteous, and I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks for a job well done.

After 15 days without power in two outages last year, we contacted several dealers for estimates. Newington Electric was our choice based on quote and thoroughness of inspection and recommendations. We weren't disappointed. Their installation was top notch in every respect, from the design of the system to the physical installation. After being in for several months, we had our first "test" a week ago, when we lost power due to a storm. We were out for 15 seconds...the time it takes for the generator to start and switch. It worked perfectly, including the automatic shutdown when the power was restored an hour and a half later. You won't go wrong with Newington Electric.

I would like to take a few minutes to write a review for Newington Electric, as this past October's storm made me appreciate having electrical service for my home and family at all times.

I spoke with Bruce on the phone and explained our needs. He came to our house and made very helpful suggestions. He told me that if we had an outage before the installation date, they would come out with a portable generator.

Great personalized service and very attentive. They responded to many questions very quickly.They recommended an appropriate generator for our home. The installation was timely and neat. They passed along instructions on how to both use and maintain the generator. They even checked in with us a week later to make sure everything was working and if we had any questions. We also hired them to do some minor electrical work after. We will use Newington Electric again.

During the infamous and historic October '11 storm in CT, I happened to live in Simsbury, the hardest hit area of our state. After 5 days of being without power, I called Newington Electric Company, who despite being slammed with business, immediately dispatched a duo of technicians that taught me, a single mother, how to start up, maintain and power down my generator for the safety of myself and my children. Needless to say, it was a true Godsend! After the power was finally restored 10 days later, I again contacted Newington Electric Company, who once again sent out a technician to detach my generator safely and soundly.

Newington Electric is so well known in Connecticut, and we have trusted them for years for all things electrical in our home. I\u2019m in Middletown, CT. When the storms hit in September of 2011, I called around for generator quotes. Spoke with Bruce at Newington Electric and he gave me a quote right over the phone. Bruce\u2019s quote was turn-key, it included the generator, the natural gas hookup, and all permits. Contacted Newington Electric several times to get an estimate on purchase and installation of a whole house generator. Two times I tried contacting via email and only received an auto reply. Called their phone number and spoke to a receptionist who took a message stating someone would get back to me. Again no reply. If this is their way of selling a product I can only imagine what trying to get service would be like. Will never attempt to do business with them again.
