We had a Generac installed by Charleston Electric in May 2021. It was never needed to be utilized until June 2022 when the generator failed, they blamed the gas line. We had GA Natural Gas certify that the line worked properly, and a plumber had to certify the regulator. The plumber found that the switch for LP/NG was set wrong. Charleston had set it up and tested with LP and failed to reset the switch to NG after the test. Charleston Electric accused the plumber and refused to reimburse us for repair of their incompetence. Recently our a/c failed, it was identified as incorrect wiring by Charleston Electric on the generator which created an overload and burnt-out wiring. We had an electrician and a new professional Generac technician examine the issues and found that the internal digital setting was still set to LP. This tech also found multiple wiring and installation issues of the overall original set up of the generator. Charleston Electric's incompetence has led to safety hazards for us and has cost nearly $1,000 to date (more to come for wiring issues) for multiple technicians to correct the issues. Charleston Electric did not stand behind their work and has blamed the problems on anyone that may have touched the generator after Charleston Electric failed to correct the issues. Charleston Electric has proven to be unprofessional and totally incompetent.

Charlton Electric sent their electrician yesterday, 10/27, to perform annual service on our 22KW Generac. He was very professional and answered questions when asked. We would be very happy to have him back next year. We also want to recognize Charlton Electric for getting our service scheduled in a very timely manner. Thank you Charlton Electric.

This contractor was awesome

The folks at Charlton Electric were awesome to work with. Joseph came out to the house and walked me through the whole process; cost, location ect. Michelle in the office kept me updated with timing throughout the ordering process and contacted me as soon as everything was ready to be installed. The guys that came out to install the generator were great. They were very professional and explained everything to me as they were doing the installation. Is was a quick and easy installation, I will not hesitate to call them back for any future project I may have.
