Certified generac ...

When our home was built, the builder had an electrical company install our generator. Two years later, the generator stopped working, so we contacted the same company for repairs. They came out, inspected it, and told us the unit needed to be replaced. When I asked about the warranty, they were unsure and said they would follow up. The next day, they informed me that if I wanted warranty coverage, I should contact a certified Generac dealer. That’s when I realized they were neither certified nor properly trained to install or service Generac generators. Fortunately, I found Charlottesville Generators online and reached out. They were incredibly responsive and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. Their team quickly diagnosed the issue, got the generator running again, performed a full service, and even helped me set up the mobile app. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain what had gone wrong. Best of all, they confirmed that the parts were covered under warranty and only charged me for the service. I’ve now scheduled annual maintenance with them going forward. Lesson learned: always work with a trusted, certified Generac installer. I’m very grateful to Charlottesville Generators for their excellent service and highly recommend them.

We've had Cville Generators for many years. The installation was high quality and we've gotten many good years out of our generator. We live in Ivy and have had many periods without electricity and the generator has been a lifeline. I've had a few instances where we needed emergency repairs and the service team at Charlottesville Generators has consistently provided speedy, professional, and reliable service.

Kind and trustworthy!

I cannot say enough good things about this team. Since my husband passed away suddenly, dealing with household repairs and projects has been stressful and overwhelming. This experience was the complete opposite. The first technician who came out was fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and respectful. He explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and even recommended against the most expensive option because it wasn’t necessary. That level of honesty and professionalism meant a lot. What truly stood out was the owner’s kindness and commitment. After hours, he personally drove over two hours to make sure the generator was fully started and working before I left on vacation. I was worried about the house while I was away, and knowing the system was up and running gave me enormous peace of mind during a really vulnerable time in my life. In a season where so many things feel hard, their care, competence, and follow-through made a real difference. I am deeply grateful and would recommend them without hesitation.

Generator not working

I bought my generator over 5 years ago through Charlottesville Generators. This company is undoubtedly one of the best companies to deal with, hands down.! They offer such personal service and are extremely responsive to any type of call. They return calls almost immediately and listen to your issues. They have annually serviced my Generac which I have had NO issues with until a few days ago. For some strange reason on a Saturday I received an email indicating that the Generac was not working. Charlottesville Generators was closed but they responded via email extremely quickly. They were in my driveway early Monday morning to check out everything. Amazing and fast service!! I had been having issues with my internet which could have caused the problem. They basically rebooted and everything was perfect. I cannot recommend a better company or person to deal with. Eric treats you like a family member. It's rare to find a company today that operates this way. I highly recommend them.

Service Pro

Our generator wasn’t firing up the eve of some potential bad weather. I had never touched the unit before so was a little hesitant. Eric picked up immediately, offered to provide step-by-step instructions to save the cost of him coming to the house. He stayed on the line with me as we diagnosed the issue by trouble shooting. Even though it was an older unit, he knew the exact steps needed to get her fired up and 5 min later it was running. If Stevie Wonder needed generator help, I’d suggest Eric, he made it seem easy. Eric Santana and his company were absolutely fantastic to deal with. Not only did they come out quick to check our generator on a house we bought this year, they called us and let us know exactly what they were doing and what they had checked out.
