Worth the wait

There are a selection of dealers for Generac, But Carney's Generac was worth the wait. The process started in July 2022, about 10 months after Hurricane Ida. The dealer was backed up on orders, but he was informative as to how long the wait would be, barring no supply chain issues. In October, the dealer informed me that supply chain issues on certain parts to the generator were still an issue, and the expected wait time was another 3-4 months. In February-March 2023, the dealer received the new liquid cooled 27k generator (the reason for the wait), had worked out all the permits and inspections with City and Parish, checked the electrical again and the plan, and then the following weeks installed the electrical, the gas lines under ground (if desired), to a space in my backyard about 20 feet from the house per my designation (no extra charge for the digging). There are always some minor delays (equipment malfunction that transports the 1100lb generator), but the dealer made sure to explain each step of the installation (if desired), and to follow the strictest of City and Parish code interpretation (even with a change), and to follow HOA rules as well. There was no money upfront, and financing options were flexible (if desired). The generator came with the longer warranty, and also, included in the price of the generator is one year remote monitoring and service visits. As long as one understands that this vendor is in high demand because the dealer is highly skilled and experienced in generator installation, one can be assured that the wait is worth the final result.

John and his crew was extremley knowledgeable and, did a great job. They were very detailed with my install, making sure everything was square, level and plumb. It was a very neat and clean installation. He also took time to explain everything about the opertions of my unit and go over the emgency shut off, and servicing items should we get caught in a bad storm situation. I was very pleased with my over all expirence and interaction with Mr. Chevalier and will definetly recommend him to my friends and neighbors.
