Repair man was wonderful.

Rene Valdez came to our home to repair our generator. He was very nice, extremely professional and definitely the person we would want to come back (if needed) to do any other work on our generator.

Cannot believe they are a dealer.

Only service what they sell. Useless! Can't believe they are allowed to be distributors. Makes me think poorly of Generac as a company.

I would give negative stars if I could

Canter installed my generator in 2020. The experience was a nightmare from beginning to end, and the nightmare continued. In brief, they were not responsive, I received inconsistent information concerning both installation and service, and I felt that I was not treated with courtesy. The person who installed the generator gave me exactly one sentence of training -- I had to beg them to send someone to give me the proper instructions. Before the end of the first year after installation, my yellow light came on. A major electrical storm was approaching, and I called for service. Initially Canter refused to send anyone for three days. They finally relented but grumbled and told me that my salesman had lied about the time it would take to get service. The latest was that one of their managers told me my "warranty" would be violated if I used another company to service my generator. It was only when I questioned this that he admitted it was not the generator warranty -- it was Canter's. He continued to use the word "warranty" although he actually was referring to the service agreement.

This is an expensive investment - Not worth it with this company.

Takes way to long. Lack of communication on status and responsiveness. Contractor came a day early to deliver the system, another contractor (no appointment) called at 6:30pm on night saying they were 20 minutes out to swap out a panel box the delivery team left -- it was the wrong one. Then a month later, it's still not set up.

Excellent work

I found Canter Power Systems thru my brother in law who works at Home Depot. Salesman came out and took some pictures and measurements, told me exactly what they were planning to do. A few days later the generator was delivered and the hookup process began! It took a few extra days for the gas and electric people to complete the work but overall everyone did a great job. We are very pleased with the service Canter provided throughout the entire project.

This dealer is great

At some point in your life a power outage becomes more than a pain in the neck. From the initial contact with the Canter sales representative through the installation process which included a knowledgeable project manager, and very professional gas and electrical contractors, we now have the peace and security of a generator.I would recommend this Canter Power Generator dealer.

Professional and timely

Called two providers in the Raleigh area. A day later Canter called and set up an appointment for 2 days after that. Two days after that, we paid a down payment for the Generac whole house unit. Later that same day the other provider called. Poor response from the other guy took them out of contention. Canter's other reviews are pretty much flawless and I can see why. Kelly provided updates every step of the way. What few minor hiccups there were (and there will always be something) Kelly immediately addressed. Everything was done when it was promised (weather permitting). Nothing came across as shady or unclear. Very professional. Now that we've made this investment, we can be assured we won't have a power loss for at least 5 years...

Use Canter Power for professional work

Canter sent Ralph to give me an estimate for a 22kW Generac generator and two automatic transfer switches, plus they would install my natural gas line from the meter to the new generator, 78 feet away. Ralph did a thorough review of my existing system, which was a 13-year old generator that had finally failed after traveling through three states and a few hurricanes. Ralph explained all of the options available, and he delivered on his promises. Each subcontractor that was used to set the generator, install the natural gas header and install the electrical service was extremely professional. They picked up after themselves, called before arriving and arrived on time. Most importantly, they performed quality professional-level work. The new Generac fired up on first attempt, and all is as-promised. Wonderful team of folks!Thanks for a great experience.

Professional Service with Quality Tradesmen

The team who came to install our generators were great and knew what they were doing. Their electrical subcontractor they hired in our area was also very good and knowledgable. We had the option to have them hire a natural gas plumber or let us go direct. We decided to go direct with a plumber Canter recommended and they also were a great choice and we were able to save some money. All in all we would recommend Canter to all our family and friends.
