Dishonored svc contract

I am at a lost for words after reading these reviews. I just want a refund on the service contract that I have paid for and they have not honored. Canter says they don't service the smaller units, but gladly took my money,

Not great post-sales

I think if you live in Greensboro, they might be fine. Sales was great for us several hours away, but then dealing with customer service and technicians for service have been a real pain. We can never get directly through to customer service, can't get emails answered, can't get a service tech within MONTHS of our generator saying that it requires service. They've often said that "well, that's not really in need of service just because the generator says that it's urgent"....

Good product, bad dealer

Generator is great... Canter is horrible. Zero response to repeated calls. Good job installing but that was it... follow up service is non existent. I will have to look elsewhere for regular maintenance, etc.

Customer service

The absolute worst customer service of ANY company I have EVER dealt with! DO NOT USE CANTER FOR ANYTHING

No call back.

Called Canter Power Systems LLC at 800-876-2422 on 7/25/24 requesting a maintenance service appointment on my Generac generator. Person on the phone gave me another number to call 888-372-3278 and to select option 1. I called this number and person took my information and said I would receive a call back. Today is 8/2/24 and no call back from anyone. I would give you 0 stars out of 5 but review won't allow it.

Hindsight / Should’ve chosen Canter 1st

Simply put, I thought I’d save money 🤦🏻, purchased a 24KW with TS online from “the company with the lowest price”, and I googled my way to a “reputable” electrical & plumber outfit, again lowest bid is who I went with. 11 months, 2 failed inspections, and 1 location change later, I’m up and running for the low total cost of approx $16k… go me right ? lol. Canters quote was within a thousand dollars, for a turnkey 90 or less day install with free monitoring and service for the first 12 months!! It pains me to admit these facts to the whole world, but maybe it’ll save someone from making the same mistake I made.

Repair man was wonderful.

Rene Valdez came to our home to repair our generator. He was very nice, extremely professional and definitely the person we would want to come back (if needed) to do any other work on our generator. The type of employee more businesses should have.==

Cannot believe they are a dealer.

1- Won’t answer phone or return voicemails 2- Will only service items they install

Won't service equipment

Only service what they sell. Useless! Can't believe they are allowed to be distributors. Makes me think poorly of Generac as a company.

I would give negative stars if I could

Canter installed my generator in 2020. The experience was a nightmare from beginning to end, and the nightmare continued. In brief, they were not responsive, I received inconsistent information concerning both installation and service, and I felt that I was not treated with courtesy. The person who installed the generator gave me exactly one sentence of training -- I had to beg them to send someone to give me the proper instructions. Before the end of the first year after installation, my yellow light came on. A major electrical storm was approaching, and I called for service. Initially Canter refused to send anyone for three days. They finally relented but grumbled and told me that my salesman had lied about the time it would take to get service. The latest was that one of their managers told me my "warranty" would be violated if I used another company to service my generator. It was only when I questioned this that he admitted it was not the generator warranty -- it was Canter's. He continued to use the word "warranty" although he actually was referring to the service agreement.
