Budget Electric Generators

Standout Installer

After extensive research and multiple quotes, I chose Budget Electric & Generators to install my Generac Next Gen 26kW whole-house standby generator, and I’m extremely glad I did. From the beginning, their technical expertise and honesty stood out. As a Generac-only installer for 37 years and a PowerPro Elite+ dealer, they know these systems inside and out. One competing contractor insisted I needed two Smart Management Modules (SMMs). Budget Electric explained that the Next Gen generator handles load management through its onboard controller and that my new Bryant 2-stage AC already has built-in compressor protection. They recommended only what I actually needed—not unnecessary add-ons. They also suggested using a composite pad instead of concrete on my pavers to reduce vibration and protect my hardscape—another detail the competing contractor completely overlooked. On installation day, a crew of seven arrived and completed the entire job efficiently and professionally. Everyone was knowledgeable, respectful of my property, and took the time to walk me through the system and Mobile Link setup before leaving. Their pricing was fair, transparent, and competitive. There were no credit card surcharges, the 4-year maintenance plan was priced well below what several of my neighbors pay annually, and the 10-year parts and labor warranty provided outstanding peace of mind. If you’re looking for a contractor that prioritizes expertise, honesty, and doing the job right instead of upselling, Budget Electric & Generators is the only company I’d recommend. Highly satisfied with the entire experience.

24 kw

new standby generator 11-11-24, I assisted them w/tractor in hopes of a good job I did get that, my only complaint the person that collect the money did not bother to explain the computer part of the 24 kw or setting, the last one I purchase I did get some information and yes this is the same compony

Happy with my new Generac

We had Budget Electric install our new whole house generator. They did a great job! Very friendly and efficient crew.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB.INSTALLED ON TIME AND GAVE ME INFORMATION I NEEDED FOR GASS CO.

Generator installed on a Wednesday and power went out twice in the first week. Worked great! Installers did a great job, worked together like a well oiled machine and wasted no time.

Just in time

Had my generator installed in April 2024, and just in time. With recent power outages in Macomb county, my 18kw Generac powered the whole house in 2 separate outages. Budget Electric did an excellent job from start to finish. I was informed up front about upgrading my gas meter. There were no hidden charges or fees, although I chose to add on some maintenance options. Bill the estimator was very informative. The install crew had about 6 guys, including some young guys who were training. The guys cleaned up, and did a complete demonstration upon completion. The installation took approximately 4 hours from arrival til finish. Very impressive work

This dealer / installer a]was great!

Budget Eclectic was a pleasure to work with. The came out and quoted my whole house generator, gave me a target installation date and met it. The installation team was professional and communicated every step of the way. Everything went flawlessly. Great experience!

excellent installation

Got a quote from Budget back in the fall 2023. I waited until my gas meter was upgraded before scheduling installation. Although my install fell just outside of Generac's 10 year warranty promo, Budget made sure I still received the 10 year warranty. Installers were friendly and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and did neat work. They answered all questions and gave me a thorough demonstration of generator and transfer switch use. My generator already is paying for itself, as we lost power less than 30 days after the installation, and the generator ran the entire house as expected. Thank you to Tony, Aaron, Conan and the crew for a smooth job.

Call at your own risk...bothered and unpleasant

We did not have the company come out to do an estimate simply because the staff who initially answered their phones to schedule appointment seemed ill-tempered, impatient and bothered...and we called twice, also in the morning when you should be energetic, friendly and ready to get business done! Lots of chaos in background and call transferred multiple times...not friendly and audible sighs as if bothered. I can only imagine having generator service issues and having to call this office. If they are this gruff when attempting to get your business, I can only imagine what they're like when they have your money. Much more pleasant experiences with all three of the other dealers that we have called. The electricians may be amazing...but overall phone service not good, and the people taking those initial phone calls are making first impressions that speak volumes.

service after the sale

After 2 failures within 8 days tried to schedule a service appointment. was told that they were very busy and was going to have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. still waiting
