Excellent Service for a Problem Generator

Generac 24kw propane model 7210-1 with two transfer switches was installed by PowerTech on August 24, 2021. Unit did a great job thru a three day outage that winter and some short outages the following summer. All required services were done by PowerTech. September 22, 2022 the generator came on to exercise and then shutdown indicating no ac voltage. Powetech came out and found that the brushes were completely worn down and the rotor surface had degraded and was very rough. The generator had run 51 hours. On September 28, 2022 PowerTech under Generac warranty replaced the rotor and brushes. During an outage on January 10, 2024 the generator again shutdown indicating no ac voltage. PowerTech came out and found that one of the brushes was completely worn down and the rotor surfaces had again degraded and were very rough. The generator had reached a total of 71 hours at this point. On January 18, 2024 PowerTech under Generac warranty replaced the rotor and brushes again and indicated this was an “upgraded” rotor. During this timeframe I had contacted Generac customer service and communicated my concerns about the multiple failures and lack of confidence I had with this generator. I was contacted by Generac Appeals and Grievances. The representative after listening to my saga said my concerns were being elevated for review. I thanked them and said that I understood that since they had repaired the generator that no further action would be taken. I stated that if it failed again I would definitely want the entire generator replaced. They said they would consider my request. January 29, 2024 I received a call from Generac to let me know that they had notified PowerTech to replace my generator and that a new unit had been shipped. February 15, 2024 PowerTech replaced the generator. It is online and load tested. Hopefully this is the end of this saga. Both the PowerTech/Boothe’s as well as Generac customer service were quick to respond and understanding. PowerTech/ Boothe’s service rep. Dale is great! Generac Thanks to Christian, Angela, Aleksandr, Joann and Reese for Excellent customer service!

Absolutely fantastic!

From initial phone call to all my crazy phone calls that followed, Brandon and staff were patient and professional. Always took the time to explain things and ALWAYS followed through on dates and times for appointments. One of the easiest experiences we have ever had with this large of a purchase - whole house generator.

I was pleasantly surprised

A friend of mine had recommended Powertech Electric, Inc., & she told me that they do everything, all the scheduling, etc. & we did not have to get involved in making arrangements. Well she was absolutely correct. Powertech made ALL the arrangements necessary to get the Generac installed & operational. Plus they kept me informed along the way. Great job Powertech Electric, Inc.
