Top Notch
Called for a Generac and this was the recommended dealer. Greg came out for the quote. Very knowledgeable guy!!! They apparently do a lot of installs. Job was completed as discussed with no issues and nothing changed. They delivered as promised. Highly recommend Shockwave to do your installation!!!

They make Repairs!!
Had another electrician install our unit. Right out of the gate the unit malfunctioned. The contractor that sold it to us had no clue how to fix it and then stopped answering my calls!!! Finally I reach out to Generac and link up with these guys. Shockwave was great!!! They came out and diagnosed the issue Tuesday and had it repaired by the end of the day!! They had the part in stock!! Best part was that it was covered by warranty. Hats off to Shockwave and to Generac. Great companies and great service all around.

Quick and Professional
We called with the intention of getting a home standby unit. Greg was very helpful with explaining what size we would need for our home and what our best options were. The installation was fast and easy. The install team was wonderful! We had a short turn around time from start to finish. Shockwave has been out to help us a few times with understanding the unit more. Having this piece of mind with our unit and knowing that Shockwave is certified to repair the unit is awesome. We could not recommend Greg and his team more!

Discuss expectations before hiring
BLUF: 2 star rating. Timely to respond to emails and schedule service. Service was performed on time. Pricing was above average and not stated in advance. Invoicing is confusing and difficult to understand (from a business owners perspective). I recommend others clarify expectations with Shockwave in advance of scheduling. I contacted Shockwave after receiving a direct snail mail solicitation to perform annual service on my 20kw Generac. I was a first time customer. I felt a level of trust since I thought they were the company who sold/installed my generator in 2015, and did a service check on it in 2021 when I purchased the property. I emailed them to set up service without asking the cost up front. Service was scheduled within a few days (scheduler was friendly and responsive), I was not home at the time the tech arrived to perform the service. There were no issues with scheduling or service performed as far as I know. After service, I did not receive any information/contact aside from an invoice. When I received the bill, I felt it was expensive. I anticipated a $200 service bill since the maintenance kits are $75 direct from Generac for my model generator. This is what caused me to inquire further. I emailed Shockwave and asked for an itemized receipt showing the breakdown of labor & materials. After a couple emails I received a confusing invoice that was difficult to follow. This is exactly what I was hoping I would not receive, since this type of invoice is usually associated with a company with questionable business practices (my perception, where there is smoke, there is fire). Had it been easy to follow, I would have simply paid it without further question or taken the time to write a neutral/negative review. The materials (maintenance kit that Generac sells for $75, and dealers probably buy for 20% less) were billed at a rate at $100 which is not market value. In one email exchange, whomever I was emailing with stated my itemized invoice was "technically a loss of revenue". At this point I decided to stop going back and forth and instead, pay my invoice and write this review. Service was performed on time, pricing was high, I felt taken advantage of with the $100 price of the maintenance kit ($25 over market value), and the invoicing was not clear. I enjoy good service, and do not mind paying for it. Had the itemized invoice been clear from the start, I would have never questioned it further. Since this wasn't the case, I'll shop this service out in future years with other service companies or just buy the $75 maintenance kit and spend an hour doing this myself. Feedback to Shockwave: Fix your invoices, when a customer asks for an itemized invoice, get them a clear invoice with labor, materials and tax charged. Charge market value for the maintenance kits. Update your website to include pricing schedule or at least include it in your mail solicitations. Report back to your customer with the status of their generator your service tech just got intimate with. Most homeowners don't want to maintain these things themselves which is why they contact companies like yours, but they still care about its condition. Get some door tags printed up, and give a status report to the homeowner letting them know their generator is in great operational condition (or needs repair). This is also a great opportunity to leave a magnet for their fridge with your company information on it, a date to schedule next service and maybe even a discount on future service. I'd like to see small businesses succeed, and there were many missed opportunities here to retain a customer and get an excellent review. Best of luck.

Outstanding Service!
Shockwave Electric was extremely responsive to my request for help activating my new Generac Synergy 20kw generator. From my phone request to job completion was only two business days! The service person arrived on time, was polite, friendly, and kept me informed as he worked. An equipment fault that he found was diagnosed and a warranty claim started for me with Generac for the necessary replacement part. I couldn't be happier with their service, and they will be my "go-to" source for generator service in the future.
