Fantastic service!

I had an issue with my generator the day before an impending ice/snow storm. Within an hour or so Black River Electric was here to check to see what the problem was. The technician quickly determined what was needed, left to get the correct parts and returned to complete the repair. They did all of this in the pouring rain to make sure we would have a working generator in the upcoming storm. I highly recommend Black River Electrical Contracting. Their service, knowledge and promptness are above and beyond!

Knows the Generators Inside & Out

I had an install done with Lowe's and had a faulty part on the brand new generator. After 2 weeks of fighting with Lowe's I finally got them to warranty the defective part and they sent Chris from BRE to fix my new generator. He came over on a Saturday and fixed the problem. I asked him if he could do my preventive maintenance on the generator (since the Lowe's installer wasn't certified by Generac) and he said yes. He has been great ever since. Had I known him before I purchased the generator I would have gone through BRE for everything. Preventive maintenance is so important to keep your generator running and ready to go in the event of a power loss. Most people neglect theirs until they need it and it doesn't work! I had a Generac Generator that seized pastthe warrantee. Black River Electrical wasinstrumental in getting Generac to replace the engine. They followed up with me. This was very important to me because I was moving and wanted the house to be protected with the generator. I would recommend them as an excellent company toanyone.

Very Professional Terrific Value

The folks at Black River provided us with the best price in the area - were able to do the job in a timely and efficient manner - and overall left us with a well operating system that we have now had the opportunity to enjoy (during a recent power outage). We suffered thru 10+ days of no power with Sandy - ended up travelling over 40 miles to get fuel for our emergency generators - now able to avoid that and just be safe at home. I would highly recommend BRE to anyone in the market for a natural gas powered standby generator.

Installation of Whole House Generator

Overall, I am very happy with the work Black River did. Chris provided great detail on the generators available and which one worked best for me and my family. His prices were very competititive with other vendors, but what helped me decide was his knowledge of Generac generators and wilingness to work with me on the placement of the generator.

This contractor is great and performs the entire installation

This contractor is extremely knowledgeable with all aspects of installation. They are the only contractor out of a total of four contractors who are licensed to both electrical and gas piping. As such, one contractor is completely responsible for the installation which facilitates installation quality, and scheduling installation and local inspectors. This contractor is as good as they come and is very professional and knowledgeable is every aspect of the installation. Installation cost was very competitive..
