Benfield Electric Of Va, Inc.

Avoid Benfield

Very bad experience and lost $1500. They will scam you by arbitrarily changing parts and make you pay on the spur or literally harass you. These parts which will not fix the problem. After a few such replacements, they will refuse to service it under the 90-day warranty. PLEASE AVOID THIS BUSINESS - Josh is rude and will hang up on you.

great company to work with

From the salesperson to the installers -- great service and good communications. The project was laid out for us, what we needed to do for them to get started. Once the install was started all was done in 3 days. Entire job was quick and easy. WE compared several companies -- their price was best by far.

Terrible

Called was told service person would call me back. Never did called again no response. I will try another company. Just an aside, the Generac rating is based on training not how good a company they are don’t be misled by those ratings

Amazing Professionals

I recently had Benfield install a whole home Generac back-up generator. As part of this process, they also had to replace the propane line from my tank to my house. I can’t begin to tell you how glad I am that I chose Benfield. Everyone that I spoke to, or worked with, were extremely professional, polite, honest, and friendly. They were very clear, from the very beginning, of exactly what I would expect throughout the whole process. This included an exact timeline. They stuck to their timeline exactly, and everything happened exactly as they said it would. They even finished ahead of schedule! The shop foreman (not sure if that’s the right term), Mario, worked with me hand in hand through the whole process. He discussed literally everything with me, so I was always completely informed. Whenever I had a question or concern, I could email Mario and he’d have a person reply to me within an hour. I can’t stress enough how well Benfield communicated everything with me through the entire process. Furthermore, Benfield were complete professionals. It was blatantly obvious that they are experts in their field and knew exactly what they were doing. Even the county inspector noted “Yeah, we don’t have to worry about these guys, they’re always perfect.” I think having a reputation like that with a county inspector speaks miles about them. Mario and his crew know what they are doing, and they’ll go through everything to make sure you get exactly what you want and need. The generator has been amazing. We lost power for about 8 hours once, after it was installed. Everything in the house worked great, without any stress or surge. The engine in the generator operates very smoothly and can power the entire house at a relatively low rpm, which will prolong engine life. The installation price was very fair. I ran the numbers on everything myself, and considering the time and people involved I think they’re quote was a very fair deal. The Generac generator is a great investment, and the people at Benfield are THE people you want to install it. Go with Generac and Benfield and you will not be disappointed!

Exceptional customer service

Today we had a privilege to meet an EXCEPTIONAL professional - Mr. Evans Sales Consultant. This young man was very knowledgeable and seemed very sincere. We didn't see estimate for our job yet, however we just wanted to say how we received SUPERIOR service from the Mr. Evans. We feel comfortable doing business with this company hoping that the rest of the employees are of the same quality.

Great servive for low cost

I had 22kW whole house generator installed by Benefield Electric/PSP. Chose them among 3 other companies. Consulting is very detailed and clear, installation is fast and small customization honored with no additional cost. Very friendly and responsive staff. Everything was installed including gas line, up and running in 3 days.

Great Service!

I have consistently had great service on my generator and prompt responsiveness to the few problems or issues that have occurred. I highly recommend this dealer for both sales and service to anyone who requests my input. Keep up the outstanding work!

Extremely professional from start to finish.

Extremely professional from start to finish. The project lead explained in detail the delivery, installation, inspection, and close-out process; and then everything went as planned. He made very sure that I understood how the system worked, what my maintenance responsibilities were, and how to get support when needed. The price was competitive.

Excellent dealer
