My generator would not start when there was a power outage. I called Batchelor's for repairs. It took about two weeks for someone to come out and I was told that it needed two parts and the cost would be 880.00. Waited about 4 weeks for parts and generator would still not start. I was told I needed a new control board, which was more money and waited another 2 weeks. It finally got fixed but the first 2 parts were not needed. I could have fixed it myself if I just kept buying parts and replacing them until it cranked.

Batchelor's is the best. I called them after 4 frustrating months with another company trying to get my generator fixed. The other company said they needed a $800 part but could find the part number.Batchelor's Tech came out the same day and fixed my generator without using any parts and showed me all the part number that were there and explained to me exactly what had been wrong.They are the absolute best.

Did not perform simi-annual service; generator not working when Hurricane Sally arrived

Batchelor installed my generator about 10 years ago and I have had a service agreement since then. The service agreement calls for 2 inspections/services per year at 6 month intervals. Batchelor serviced my generator in February 2020. In July I called Batchelor to find out when they would be doing the next service. They said service was due and would be done promptly. I told them that I did not need to be present for the service. Unfortunately they never came. When Hurricane Sally arrived on September 16th the generator would not start. I called Batchelor and naturally they were swamped with calls. After 4 service visits, 4 parts and five days the generator was running again. The service calls cost me over $1,100. The generator ran for about 12 hours before regular electric service was restored. Had Batchelor performed the regular maintenance that I had contracted and paid for the generator would have been working when Hurricane Sally struck, we would not have been out of power for five days and the food in my freezer and refrigerator would not have been ruined. Indeed the whole reason for having a service agreement is so that the generator will work when a hurricane strikes. Batchelor certainly knows that. Batchelor apparently decided they could get away with not servicing my generator even though I had already paid the annual fee.

My parents are 80 and 78 was sold 22 kw install and was overcharged and taken advantage of.found at competition for half he price installed! Buyer beware.
