Avoid

Given the availability of Generac dealers and installers in the area, and based on my personal experience, I recommend avoiding Banks Electric. I could tell the whole story, with attachments, but I'm not inclined to waste my time on these people.On the other hand, if you need service with household wiring problems, I'v used Banks fo 20 years and been quite happy with the service I've received from their electricians.

Doesn\u2019t want new customers

Was not interested in making money and was told they only want commercial jobs right now. No residential.

Excellent Service

Banks gave me a straight up answer with regards to what I needed for my standby unit. Tim did not try to upsell me at all. In fact I wanted more than I needed and he gave me good advice that I did not need a 30kW. Most retailers would not do that.

Does not provide Service

This company will not service Generac generators unless they originally installed it. Should be removed from your "provides service" list.

Installation and Maintenance

Banks Electric did the install and performs the annual maintenance on our Generac whole house generator. Their install / service has been exceptional . They are very professional / friendly, and know their product and procedures as well as always keeping us advised about what is going on with our generator .
